The Governor Dick Environmental Center, 3283 Pinch Road, Mount Gretna, has posted upcoming events. The programs are free, but pregistration is required by emailing governordick@hotmail.com or calling 717-964-3808. Callers should leave a name and phone number in case a program is canceled. All programs will begin at the environmental center. Summer Story Forest, an outdoor story time followed by an activity, is for children up to age 10. This program will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 23. A fee applies. On Saturday, July 24, at 1 p.m., the center will host a butterfly walk, where participants will ex plore the meadow to see several species of butterflies. Attendees are encouraged to bring water. A Music on the Porch bluegrass jam will take place on Sunday, Aug. 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs.
Flower Club Posts Meeting The Elizabethtown Flower Club will meet at noon on Monday, Aug. 2, at the Gathering Place, 6 Pine St., Mount Joy. Attendees may wear masks if they prefer to do so. The program will be “Herb Gardening” by Lisa Sanchez. Guests are welcome. Reservations and cancellations must be made by noon on Thursday, July 29, by calling Mary Ann Kale at 717-6539183 to avoid payment for a reserved meal. There is a cost for the lunch.
