Night At Museum Gala Scheduled The Night at the Museum Gala and Live Charity Auction, themed “Hope and Heritage,” will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 5 to 10 p.m. at AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey. The event will celebrate the 70th anniversary of Tucker and will honor Gale Halderman with the AACA Museum Inc. Automotive Heritage Award. The evening will feature a reception from 5 to 6 p.m. featuring hors d’oeuvres, as well as a VIP reception with Haldeman at that time. Dinner will be at 6:15 p.m., and the award presentation will take place at 7:30 p.m. and will be followed by a live auction conducted by the Katz Family Foundation. Halderman is the designer of the original 1967 Ford Mustang. The Automotive Heritage Award is designed to honor and provide public recognition for an individual who
has made an exceptional contribution to the hobby by preserving antique vehicles, exhibiting their vehicles, promoting the hobby, engaging in sustained, noteworthy activities that have positively impacted the hobby, and using his/her position in the hobby for philanthropy and service to others. Halderman began as a designer with Lincoln-Mercury in 1954 and four years later became head of Ford’s Advanced Studio. In addition to leading the team that created the first Mustang, during his eight years as studio chief, Halderman oversaw the development of the Lincoln Mark VII and VIII. For more details and to order tickets, readers may visit www.aacamuseum.org or contact Jake Dunnigan at 717-566-7100, ext. 116, or jdunnigan@aacamuseum.org. Proceeds will benefit Homeland Hospice and the AACA Museum.
