Lebanon County Area Agency on Aging is seeking volunteers with vehicles to help deliver meals in Palmyra to seniors who are homebound. Available routes are available on weekdays with pickup times from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Palmyra Senior Center, inside Interfaith Manor, 101 S. Railroad St., Palmyra. Volunteers will pick up prepacked meals and deliver them to people on a specific route within the city. Volunteers will then return the meal carrier bags to the Palmyra Senior Center. Routes are designed to take about one hour or less. Schedules are flexible and can be arranged weekly, every other week, or once a month. Substitute drivers are also needed when regularly scheduled volunteers take time off. All volunteers will be trained on the procedures of delivering meals and will be shown the route before they begin making deliveries on their own. To learn more about this opportunity, readers may contact Stephanie Hafez at 717-273-9262 or shafez@lebcnty.org.
