client, ‘Turtleneck Sweater’ is a new released band and they consists of 3 members: Chain, Link & Boss. Their problem is that they need to promote their advertisements throughout the whole world. Therefore, I need to decide which advertising method is the best and the most efficient way of promoting a band by using the internet, radio, magazines, etc.

1. What kind of advertisement do you want to use? We would like to attract more fans from Asia and Europe, so I guess we have to use internet for promoting our band. We could use Facebook or Twitter fan page and direct them to our own very website.

2. If you have decided to use website(internet), what template would you like to have in your website? We would like to have something unique with interesting designs so that our customers could enjoy themselves when visiting the website. We also need to cooperate with other companies so that they could also advertise us on their websites or blogs.

3. What kind of information would you want to show to everybody? We would like to put informations about what do we do for living and what kind of music we play in our band. We could also put some sample musics on the website, video interview & some pictures.

4. Do you have a logo yet? If you want a logo, what kind of logo do you want me to create about your band? No, not yet. We would like to have a logo that could describe us. A simple but meaningful logo and design that could be used for several years. We want the logo to be interesting, attractive, and does not get bored over time.

5. How much are you willing to pay for creating the website and logo? We don’t want it to be so expensive but I would like to have something really good rather than having a good one that will not really attract our fans. So I would like to pay for between $3000 - $4000 with the logo included. Thank you

the interview, I can see that my client wants to advertise by using websites and to attract more fans from Europe & Asia. They wanted to create a website which is unique and different from others that will not get easily boring when looking at it. They also want to make their customers enjoy themselves by having lots of pictures and videos that they could see in the website. They would also like to share some of their sample musics so they could know what the genre is. They need a logo for their band which is simple but meaningful logo. They want their logo to be attractive and can be used for a long time. They also request that they would like to create another website for discussion boards and other activities but they will talk again with me sooner or later.

Weebly is a free webite builder mostly for business and education. It could be used as a classroom blog and there’s also a lot of themes and it is easy to access so it doesn’t require skills to create the website.
Moonfruit is a free website that allows you to create your own website. It is mostly used for online selling shop and trading. It is very simple to use and doesn’t require any skills for making them.
OVERALL RESEARCHING SUMMARY •
After interviewed with my client asking about what kind of advertisement they want, I have followed and researched what they required at this moment. I have researched several websites that is suitable for the band and I also start to find pictures that is relevant to the band. I have found a website and a template and will further research more on how to create a good website band.

When one person saw the website, he could share it on Facebook or twitter and 3 more people will share it and 9 more people will share it. us, the Turtleneck Sweaters, design 6 seems to be the most persuasive and best looking advertisement among others. Not only it is good to look at, it is also very original, showing the creator’s creative style. However, the theme doesn’t suit our and I don’t think this will be worth $3000-$4000.

6 I chose Design 6 because it has the most requirements approved in specifications. It got a good and interesting design, can put a lot of information about the band, itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s very safe and costs no money for making it. My plan is reliable and effective because it has all the information of the things/applications that Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m going to use throughout the project. 1. Evaluating My Performance at Each Stage of the Design Cycle. •
Investigation: In the investigation stage, I did a lot of researching on band advertisement. I also interviewed my client on what kind of advertisement he wants and all the requirements that have to be made. I also researched several case studies on different ways of advertising and finally compare which one is the most effective one for advertising to the whole world.

Design: In the Design stage, I designed 6 advertisements which are 2 posters, 2 websites, and 2 videos advertisement. I have to write a summary, pros and cons for each design and to create the table for specification so that we can compare which design meets all the specification and can be used for the band advertisement.

Plan: I made the Gantt Chart detailedly and specifically about what I should do to accomplish the website in 8 weeks. I also created the step by step of how to make the advertisement for website (wix) so that other people can also understand what I’m doing. I created a table for materials/softwares that I have used for creating the advertisement.

Create:
In the Create stage, I can finally start to create my product. I used wix.com for my band advertisement and I think itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a great website because it has many functions and cool stuffs. I researched information about the band, finding pictures, and downloading music and videos. It took me a long time to put all the informations in the website and I also need to do the Documented Evidence supported with the evidence. It is hard to make 10 days of documented evidence but I still managed to made it.

Evaluate:
In the Evaluation Stage, I did refections on my works and datas to find out the advantages and disadvantages. I need to write the pros and cons for the design and reflect on which one is better, which one needs improvement. I think the reflecting process is very important to the task because reflecting can help you figure out the disadvantages and to make changes about them and will also be able to help you in the future.

2. Testing: Meeting Specifications In the Specification area, I have carried out all the tests for the product which is Software, Time, Costs, Target Audience, Aesthetic, Function, Purpose, Theme.Color.Style.Finish, Safety, & Durability. For the Software, I have successfully created the logo and design using Photoshop CS5. For the Time, I finished making the product in 8 weeks. For the Costs, the website builder is free, so no costs needed for making this product. For the Target Audience, I have interviewed several teenagers and they loved the music genre including me myself. For Aesthetic, I have chosen a great template which I used in for the band advertisement. For the Function, I have shared it with my friends and posted it on my blog. For Purpose, I helped the band advertise already by creating the website. For Theme.Color.Style.Finish, I have designed 6 designs which are colorful and attractive. For Safety, I have not post anything irrelevant otherwise from the band or inappropriate informations or pictures. For Durability, I will update the website if there is any new upcoming events from the band itself.

3. Successful Points I have been able to create a magnificent piece of work which is the website and I have researched a lot of websites and used different methods to attract people to see the website that Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve made. I have designed 6 designs according to the requirements and was able to reflect and decide which one should I use. The design I chose was very effective and attractive because it contains a area which you can put the video player and music player for people to listen and watch. I was also able to be following my Gantt chart moderately when creating the website for my client. Some of my friends also helped me by giving suggestions or by explaining what I should be doing now, and I also helped them in return. I think all the time that I have spent are all worth it for the final product.

4. Least Successful Points
Although I have stated a lot of successful points before this slide, but I still have some least successful points. I am not able to follow all my steps from my Gantt Chart because sometimes you just have this idea popped out of nowhere which is not included in the planning. I have been trying hard to stay on the right path but sometimes thinking outside the box also helps me for making this website better and more attractive. Another thing is that I donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t use my time wisely in class sometimes being distracted by my friends, but I still managed to finished it on time.

5. Modifications/Improvements
If I could make a new website, I would modify the design to be more simple, not too complicated. I would also like to change the font used right now in the website because the font doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t suit with the whole layout idea. Adding a photo slideshow in the website is also a good idea, so basically there is many pictures at one place and people can just scroll it to the right or left to see the pictures. i would also like to add a comment section in the website so visitors can leave a comment before they leave.

7. The Impact on the Society
My advertisement impacts on my client and society because my website helped advertise the band to the whole world. Basically, after I finished making this website the band can then go to the next step further to make them go nearer to success for music production. The society will also be impacted because when their friends see this website and shared it to their friends, other people would like to know to what does the website look like or what information does it have by using internet of course. 8. The Impact on the Environment
Actually, a website doesn’t impact on the environment so much because it doesn’t use up a lot of natural resources and I can guarantee that it won’t bring deforestation, or pollution. Making a website requires electricity which we still have to be concerned to because who knows what will happen in the future, so safe or don’t waste as many electricity as you can. This is also a important factor for the society because, when they opened the website, after they finished touring, they should just close the website because wix.com is a flash supported website so it requires a lot of energy to make the website works. Nothing will happen eventually if the website just stays there, unless when people open the website.
