WHEREVER THE DATA MOVES, OUR SECURITY FOLLOWS
IN CONVERSATION WITH ROHIT OBEROI, DIRECTOR CHANNEL AT SECLORE TECHNOLOGY
Tell us about your GITEX 2017 experience? GITEX does give you the platform to interact with the right kind of audience from all over the GCC as well as partners. This is the first time we are participating in the show and we are present here with our value added distributor Redington.
RAMPING UP THE DNS LANDSCAPE Infoblox recently promoted Ashraf Sheet to the role of Regional Director, Middle East and Africa, responsible for leading the strategic development of the business in the region and further accelerating the high-growth rates that the company has been experiencing in recent years. Talking to us at GITEX 2017, Ashraf says, “The threat landscape has changed. Today it is a chase. Whatever layer of security you add to the network, hackers are always ready to break it. Blinds spots exists and hackers take advantage of that. Over the past few years there has been a major focus on DNS security and we are here to redefine this.” Talking about the Digital transformation that has been one of the greatest shift that the market has seen so far Ashraf says, “So, one of our key agenda was to showcase our value in this transformation by deploying our Actionable network intelligence platform and how we can leverage the intelligence of the core networking solutions to become intelligent and add to the capabilities of the network so that organizations can take business decisions with an end-to-end visibility on the network level. “ As Infoblox looks to ramp up business in the region, the main focus for Ashraf and his team will be on creating value to customers by elevating every aspect of their network availability, agility, security, and performance – on premise, across data centres, and in the cloud. With the increasing incidents of DDoS attacks, malware and ransomware affecting regional organizations, security will be a big focal area for Infoblox. It has been investing heavily in leveraging the intelligence of the network to establish a ‘Threat Containment’ built-in capability in its solution.
Tell us about your unique data rights management solutions? Data rights management— it is data centric security. So, wherever the data moves, the security moves with it. It is like a remote control where you can switch off whatever access control you have given to someone. We primarily protect data on 4 Ws— Who can access it? What can he do with it? Where can he take it? When can he do it? Today, most of the data sits out of the data center and it moves outside your organization, so we help you govern the data that is not in your vicinity. Tell us about your partnership with Redington? We have been in the region for over 4 years. We signed up with Redington in April and we also started our own entity in Dubai. Redington is a power-packed distributor in the Middle East and have around 600 security partners in the Middle East. The coverage that we are looking at and the growth line that we are vying is perfectly delivered by Redington.
