, here is Summer
er into your wardrobe. mm su of h las sp a t ec inj s ay t the weather yet you can alw well nearly. If you haven’t go
1. A Splash of Mint Looking for a new coat to exude summer yet still keep you warm and dry in this temperamental w e a t h e r? Tr y a mint co at f o r th e chicest cover up around.
3. Electric Eyes Pat Butcher usually comes to mind, or dodg y 90 s make up, when you mention blue eye shadow but the latest take on this trend is the blue smoky eye. Use a mix of deep, a l m o s t n av y b l u e s a n d m i x w i t h lighter turquoise shades to highlight your inner eye. Think more Taylor Swift or Lupita Nyongo rather than Dolly Parton in the 80s!
2.Dungarees. Yes You Read That Right! Dungarees have ventured out of the playground and into the city. To keep the look grown up, match with heels, especially if you have a flared pair. Underneath, get rid of the cutesy T-shirt and wear a fitted shirt in crisp white or contrasting denim and add a sharp tailored blazer over the top. To combine two trends in one why not turn up those hems to titanic proportions. See New Look and MiH Jeans for some gorgeous pairs.
4. Swimsuit Revival Bikinis are obviously a summer staple; however the one-piece swimsuit is also a necessity. You can exude old school Hollywood glamour in a beautiful one-piece, large floppy hat and shades. They are flattering to all shapes, just make sure you try it on before you buy. The only secret to getting a fabulous swimsuit is to keep looking until you find one you feel confident, sexy and comfortable in. River Island and Topshop have some great affordable and flattering swimsuits.

5. Disco Time Sequinned shorts are great for an alternative to skirts and dresses for nights out, or to add a little sparkle to your day wear. Dress up with a black cami top, blazer and heels for night. To work these shorts into your daytime look, team with a cream jumper or slouchy tee and trainers.
6. Festival
Fun
It’s festival time again, and we’ve had a preview to this year’s top styles thanks to Coachella. Boho is still big, but if that isn’t really your thing look to Solange Knowles and her matchy matchy co-ords or Kate Bosworth and her cool 90s grunge for an alternative look. Perhaps a m o re s u r p risin g f e s ti v a l s t y l e i c o n t h is year is Dolly Parton. Well, she is headlining Glastonbury. Try a checked shirt tied at the waist, jean shorts and a sturdy pair of cowboy boots to nail this look.
7. To Rip or Not? When Kim Kardashian has taken a trend and taken it to the extreme is it really a trend with any life left in it? Well, yes! Distressed, ripped jeans are all over our favourite celebrities as well as the street style bloggers. The way to wear them elegantly is with a slouchy blouse, nude pumps, blazer and a floppy hat or a silk camisole, trainers and gold bracelets stacked up on the arms.
8. Summers Essentials You can’t have summer without shades! So what sunglasses can you buy this month to update your summer wardrobe? Why not try some bright Perspex frames? Round shades are definitely still in, as are floral frames. You can’t go wrong with a classic Rayban Aviator or Wayfarer shape. Fancy something a bit more bling or luxurious? Embellished frames or leather frames are perfect for you. Don’t just stick to one design this summer, pick several to match all your outfits.

super natural T
he En Vie June cover is no different, with the sexy model Alexandra Tyler harkening back to the seductress spirit of Marilyn Monroe with her tantalizing over-the-shoulder gaze. Along with the equally sexy model Elizabeth Twaits, photographer Maureen Montgomery and her team, hair stylist Kevin Hughes and makeup artist Paloma Alcantar, have combined many decades of expertise to create a beautiful fashion editorial. Maureen was kind enough to share a little behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the stunning cover and following editorial shots. "Kevin happened to come across these two beauties and immediately brought them to me, knowing I would love their looks. I didn't hesitate for second to book these beauties. I knew we were going to create something special and classic. My trusted team of Kevin Hughes and Paloma Alcantar knew right away what I was going for. Kevin has an amazing eye for classic beauty and creating memorable styles. Paloma chose a creative and subtle colour palette to accent the models’ natural and stunning beauty." "We shot in one day at my home studio in Pasadena, California keeping it intimate and super fun. With
our music cranked and ideas flowing, we had a blast creating an exciting new look for the season. Being a blonde myself, I know how to have fun with my work and so do these girls! Spring has sprung! It's back and it's blonde!"

T
he 22-year-old model Cristina Maria Saracut was born in the small town of Pitesti, Romania. Coming of age during the years in which Romania left behind its Soviet ties and became a member of the EU was difficult. At the young age of 13, she had already achieved her personal dream to model around the world. Fashion capitals like Paris, Milan and Berlin have inspired her since then. At 17, Cristina started modeling in Romania in her first experiences, walking small catwalks for local designers. During this time, she learned how to be relaxed and patient while walking in the spotlight. After meeting her German boyfriend, Cristina moved to Hamburg, Germany. She learned to speak the language and plans to start studying in Germany after her modeling career.
Shortly after she moved to Germany, she was scouted by Veronique Kern from SMC Model Management Wiesbaden. Veronique helped her to develop her career, securing contracts for her in Milan, Athens and Dubai. Cristina is now represented by agencies like Wilhemina, Most
Wanted Models, Joy Model Management Milan, and VN Models. For SMC she participated in her first big runway show for Augustin Teboul at Berlin Fashion Week. She has since worked with various designers like Cacharel, Patricia Fields, and Issever Bahri and at Fashion Weeks in Athens, Berlin, Milan, Paris and Dubai. She has also landed jobs with major brands like Adidas. Cristina has been featured in magazines around the world, like Runway Magazine France, Fashion Affair, Magazine UK, FAULT Magazine UK, Rendezvous de la mode, Circe Magazine Austria, Pixx Magazine Germany, Elle Germany, In Style Germany and Harpers Bazar Arabia. En Vie recognized her talent and versatility early on and has featured her work in many issues since 2013, a collaboration based on mutual admiration. Her love for fashion was kindled when she was a schoolgirl and her dream has always been to work internationally in the industry.

he crisp revival of combining the two extreme neutrals black and white perfectly mirror the image of today’s modern woman; bold, chic, assertive and opinionated. An innovative pair, these seemingly average colours create a beautiful display without trying too hard. No two tones harmonize better than black and white. It’s a flexible combination that transitions from day to night and work to play with ease. The high contrast of the two neutrals emotes confidence with a sporty and relaxed flair. Usually combined with bold eyebrows and contoured cheekbones, this trend allows you to stand out in a unique way this season. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Erdem, and Victoria Beckham are taking a modernist approach to a timeless trend. Reimagined in origami folds,
unexpected layers and sharp lines, they embody the bold creativity that lies within each of us. Black and white reflect the soul of a person, whether in photography, film or fashion. It’s fascinating to see how this trend morphs each season to further our infatuation with classic style. In today’s complex society, there is comfort in the organized nature of black and white. With its logically placed stripes, geometric prints and figure flattering colour blocking techniques, it welcomes change. After a long season of being fully drenched in black, this concept may seem preposterous. The two shades in tandem, however, feel fresh and brave, the perfect way to welcome in a new season of warmth and expression. Be daring and creative, experiment with black and white and you will see why this trend is a classic staple from year to year.

he thrill of passion was like an aphrodisiac that stimulated her to the very core. She was hypnotized by carnal sin and, under its spell, acted in mysterious ways to ensnare her lovers – often leading to dangerous liaisons. Her tantalizing beauty, fiery charm and dauntless persona were the perfect concoction to entrap innocent minds. She loved to deal with hearts. She derived pleasure in breaking hearts, then mending them only to break them again. Her intentions were cruel. She entered the room where a grand party had already gathered momentum. Conscious of her sexual prowess, she started commanding the focus of the room – she was beautiful to the point of being sinister. Exploiting her killer moves in black attire that only accentuated her femininity, she found her next victim. He stared at her with a piercing gaze that stung at her heart. For the first time she doubted her credibility, but she didn't give up. She swiftly lured him with her seductive words, husky voice and carefully crafted smile. She knew she had ignited his desire. They started meeting, and he started splurging – not just his feelings, but his wealth. Expensive gifts, exquisite dinners, exotic hideaways... Finally he confessed his love. She replied with a nervous smile and hurriedly left. Something prodded at her conscience. Fate had played its game, and she was also in love with him. What if he knew of her evil plans? She took a bold step and disclosed everything. He said he already knew. It was not just her stunning looks, but the person within whom he loved. The femme fatale in her felt defeated, but the true woman within her felt vindicated. She realised the meaninglessness of what she had been doing before. “Love is an opportunity, not a privilege,” she thought; as she silently surrendered to his love to uncover her real self – once lost, now rediscovered.

n Vie is delighted to feature hairstylist Kazuto Shimomura again with more of his creative and exciting work. In keeping with his classic and edgy style, this month's editorial showcases the variety in his work with a more texturized and voluminous look. With much experience in the industry on a global scale, Shimomura has experimented with many different styles and has refined his technique over the years. We continue our interview with the expert in this field and discover more about his passion, experience and advice for up-and-coming stylists.
EV: Who is your style icon? KS: Karl Lagerfeld.
EV: What was the biggest risk you’ve ever taken? KS: Before I moved to London, I had many paid jobs and clients in Japan. Moving to London meant I couldn’t return for two years and losing those clients. Although I was concerned, I took the leap to improve and work with bigger clients.
EV: What advice do you have for up-and-coming stylists?
EV: What do you love most? KS: Making images in my head and forming them with my hands is exciting!
KS: The most important thing is passion. Passion will encourage you and save you if you lose your way. I encourage up-and-coming stylists to believe in themselves always.
EV: Most memorable shoot? KS: A shoot I did for a magazine with the sunrise on Mt. Fuji!

pastel floral – another key trend for the warming seasons. It also lends itself easily to the classic double-denim look, which is a nod to the platformadoring seventies. Be sure to contrast the denim colour for optimal style.
This Spring/Summer 2014 trend embraces the coolness of Dean’s debonair look, encapsulating the worker blue of yesterday and a more modern indigo, which compliments the former for a brilliant duality of style. The two colours play off each other to give the wearer options in their fashion foray. For the modern fashionista, having choices is essential to follow the burgeoning trends of each season, and this jean trend is no different.
The indigo option is edgy and chic with its bodyforgiving hue. It too is complemented nicely by a bright white, but can also be played with to incorporate patterns, bright colours and even metallics. Indigo begs for fun and mischievousness – the perfect partner for a warm summer’s eve.

ou may have already heard the name Samantha Enticknap when it comes to makeup as she has been in the business for over 15 years, but now she is going it alone with her own business. Sam graduated in 1998 from prestigious Sydney institute Make Up Glamour,
whereupon she returned to her native England. Here her brilliant skills with a makeup brush gained her a position as a retail artist with Mac Cosmetics. After just 10 months in this position she was promoted to retail manager which gave her the opportunity to open her first account at Gatwick Airport, London.
During her 10 years at Mac she trained and managed several accounts within Europe and the UK. Basically, she was one talented and driven lady who was capable of training people to deliver their clients wishes without a problem. Her time at Mac also allowed her the opportunity to work on fashion shoots and shows as well as TV shows. After 10 years at Mac she decided it was time to go it alone so she emigrated to Perth, Australia, which is now her home and sole residence. She now offers a range of makeup services including wedding and party makeup. For weddings Sam believes that you should look like the most beautiful version of yourself so she isn’t too heavy handed on the makeup, which sounds perfect to me! She also offers
makeup lessons and advanced makeup lessons, allowing you to learn how to perfect your look or improve your skills so you yourself can have a career as a makeup artist. All sound like standard services? Well, Sam will also do your makeup if you are an aspiring model and are making your portfolio, or if you are 6 years old and want to be a tiger for the day, she also offers face painting services. Perhaps her most interesting and specialised service is that of transsexual and transvestite makeup services. This is definitely one talented lady. If you want to find out more, see images of her work or employ her services go to her website here: http://www.sammakeupartist.com.

T
hree of this year's biggest Spring/Summer makeup trends are all about the skin, lips and eyes. As seen on the runways, natural, flawless and well-conditioned skin reigned. For the lips, 'bright' is the way to go in either hot pink or orange lipstick. The makeup for the eyes went a bit retro with this look from the 90's: white liner on top and bottom. This look freshens up the face and is a fun minimal makeup summer look.
Makeup and hair stylist Imara Wimmers and Mieke Petiet created this look on model Daphne. Photographer Marina Murasheva gave us her take on the trend.
"This beauty story is all about the upcoming trends of Fashion summer 2014. The strong lips are all about the catwalk and the beautiful skin is more important than ever. We created a strong look, but it's still fresh and clean. White is always in. The white color accents the eyes and gives the look a high fashion touch. It's all about how you use it so use it right! I think it is important that the makeup suits the face and lights up the strong ages. Because of the white make up accents, the eyes of the model look very bright and the skin fresh and clean."

or this look the model already had beautiful skin so there was not much to cover. I wanted to play with the highlight-contour together with different kinds of textures. I prepped the skin with some mineral face cream, and then I put on a bit of mineral moisture foundation to achieve a luminous yet natural finish. Moisturising foundations are great to wear. They are light, sheer, and still give some coverage if need be. It leaves a kind of 'second skin' result. I love to use a highlighter pencil on the face. If you don't have heavy dark circles around the eyes you can definitely go without concealer. It gives a wonderful effect, without being too much or heavy on the delicate eye area. I just put a sheer mineralise powder on the center of the face to set the makeup. Mineral powder is soft, never heavy, and has a natural-matte finish, and low coverage. Also I used beautiful creamy highlighters on the highest point of the face, where you can see
natural light while you're turning your head. A tiny amount of creamy highlighter on this area gives the maximum effect ! Beautiful skin will always be trendy and stunning. I used special products for the contouring, but you can do it with a darker powder or concealer as well. Avoid powders with orange/red undertones. For this classic night-out look, I put some dark purple eye shadow mixed with medium brown shades on the eyes to make it quite intense without being too heavy or hard on the eyes. I put the dark Bordeaux lipstick all over the lips and put a touch of flowery pink blush on the cheeks. I added the yellow eyeliner to show that not only black exists. There are many different colours for eyeliners; very beautiful ones. With a trendy, smoky eye you can wear a nice coloured eyeliner. It's different. It's spring. It's joy!

T
he mood of this shoot was inspired by the sensuality of the clothes and the natural beauty of the model. It was all put together as we looked at the new trends for spring / summer 2014. The key word is "natural," saying 'no' to a static hairstyle and 'yes' to the motion. The hair is soft, light and preciously natural. It is right in tune with the new look that has been seen on the catwalks: the Mermaid Waves Hair, inspired by the mermaid look. This mermaid waves style is usually worn by women with long hair, but it doesn’t matter if you have short hair. The important thing in achieving this hairstyle is to curl your hair between the mid and lower areas of hair. There is some makeup but the naked effect helps to
highlight the delicate features of the model and make her as natural as possible. All is made even more precious by the embroidery effect of the dress. It is more sensual with the shades of chocolate brown. These photos were taken by fashion photographer Marco Taglienti. In this shoot we matched the style of the "Mermaid Waves with the knitting of the clothes and explored sensuality through the eye-catching features of the model. To further increase the effect, the photos were developed with pastel colors and designed with a shallow depth of field that would increase the feeling of the forms. This was done so that the viewer's attention is focused more on the details of the portrait, such as the eyes, hair style and the texture of the dress.
