Editor’s Notes By Arianna Jasmine

I hope you enjoyed the new format for E N V Y Magazine published in our last issue. As we promised bigger and better! In this issue we are very pleased to bring you some insight into the people behind the scenes that make E N V Y possible, starting with our Photographers and Models. We’ve got a great Model Theme this week, “New Worlds”. Our models used their imagination to come up with a style appropriate for the new world they have imagined now exists. We couldn’t be more proud of our teams creativity! Our models loved doing it and our photographers really enjoyed shooting it. We also are very happy to partner with Model’s Workshop. In doing so E N V Y will now cover Model’s Workshop events including the Monthly Styling Challenge. We have a great interview with the winner of August’s challenge, Rockinman1 and some awesome photos. Stay tuned for the next styling challenge scheduled for September 21st at 5pm SLT. Also the September round of SWANK opens on September 7th. You can see what some of the models came up with using the fabulous finds at SWANK to style themselves. Click on the SWANK logo anywhere you spot it for a direct link to the event floor. Start finding some great deals for your home and closet. I can’t believe it’s September again, the summer sure went fast! For those of us packing summer clothing away, closing pools and getting kids ready for school, keep this in mind, at least we can always enjoy the beach year round on SL :) Happy reading all!

E N V Y the People: Our Photographers By Sarah Elizabeth Benham Here at E N V Y MAGAZINE, we spend so much time finding some talented people to profile, that we forget to pay dues to the ones in our own family! Well, let us begin fixing that today! To kick things off, please say hello to our wonderful photographers! Saori Kido Rey aka Saori440 Resident

gained from the modeling school she attended and contests she entered, she won the title of Super Angel in the Fantasy Angels 2016 competition. One of her greatest passions in the world of fashion is photography. She is presenting her work in the blog "The Other Door" and is competing in several castings for magazines including The Fashion Teller Magazine. Currently, Ms. Rey is part of the staff at E N V Y MAGAZINE as a model and photographer. What she enjoys the most about working at E N V Y MAGAZINE is the freedom to be herself, the friendships she has made and the opportunity to create beau-

tiful looks and pictures. Scott Nobody aka SirNobody Resident

Mr. Nobody has been a member of Second Life for years. Since that time, he has tried many things. One of the big ones was making music videos. That eventually turned into photography.

Ms. Rey joined Second Life in May 2014. She started her studies as a model in August 2014 and graduated with a certificate in April 2015. She participated in many modeling competitions, including Miss Virtual World, Miss Model International and Fantasy Angels 2016. From all of the experiences she VOL 3.1

Since his photos have been published in E N V Y MAGAZINE Mr. Nobody has been contacted to do model shoots from all over the grid. In March, Mr. Nobody was hired to shoot for E N V Y. 24 - E N V Y MAGAZINE

I just started to work for E N V Y MAGAZINE in May, and I'm convinced every day that it was the best decision I ever made. I've always been attracted by photography, in particular after I visited an event where there was an exposition of a photographer's work. It was amazing! The way he was able to capture nice moments on his photo made me want to try and do the same, so I started to get in-

terested in this creative process. When I heard that E N V Y was hiring, I really didn't expect to be hired but here I am, and I admit that I'm so proud of myself. My work gets better everyday and that happens because I have amazing support from the staff! Photography is my hobby in RL too, as is writ-

ing and drawing. I'm also a reading addict and I try to stay on top of stuff in the best way possible. My biggest goal at the moment is to shoot a big event in SL, and be satisfied with the outcome. Kendall Cadivus-NaxoxEternal aka Kendallisabella Resident

Ms. Cadivus-Naxox-Eternal started her photography career as a way to use her creativity. She had done graphic designing in the past, so this seemed like a logical step to her. Ms. Cadivus-Naxox-Eternal loves that E N V Y MAGAZINE lets her be as creative as she likes and still have time to spend with friends and family. She's also happy to have the opportunity to meet and work with some amazing people here. The staff is super caring and always there to be helpful when needed. VOL. 3.1

E N V Y the People: Our Fashion Editor By Imani Killah For a successful magazine to work, you need talented and experienced staff in each department. You need people with a diverse set of skills, from writers to office managers; from those who focus solely on business; to those with a strong eye for visuals. From the visual standpoint we have a very important department that contributes significantly to our magazine, the Fashion Department. It isn’t just about hiring models and a photographer, but rather to make the fashion portion of the magazine work, you need a staff with experience in fashion, one that knows about the latest trends, that is also creative and, like I mentioned before, they must have vision.

magazine? AJ: I've been at E N V Y since May 2016. I began because I was covering for a friend who had to go on leave for a while. Once I was there I fell in love immediately with what E N V Y is all about. Imani: What is the vision and mission of the magazine?

AJ: Well, I think the founders envisioned a magazine that was different from anything out there. One that was inclusive of all residents of SL, all the various communities. I think they want to serve those different communities and elevate everyone's experience here on SL by sharing information, insightful interviews, interesting articles I interviewed the heart of the and great stylings by our E N fashion department for V Y Models. This way our fashion and style pieces are elevated to the same quality you would find in a fashion based magazine. I also oversee our partner blogger stylings and ensure we are representing our partners well. I also do work as an editor in the rotation so I publish the magazine every 3rd issue. Imani: Which is the vision and mission of your department? AJ: We work to ensure the fashion department gives an elevated fashion experience to our readers. That as they page through the stylings they feel as though they've picked up a high fashion magazine, one that uses couture to express the model's creativity and use of poses, locations and

Sarah Tremor, owner and designer of Edelfabrik By Kiett Prince

Guten Tag E N V Y Readers! We are here with none other than the energetic and spry Miss Sarah Tremor the owner, mesh designer and creator of Edelfabr\k! She uses Blender, Photoshop and a little Black Forest magic to bring you original content for all mesh body types! If you didn’t guess it, she’s a German designer! We chat, we visit her store, we exchange horoscope signs and of course, I fan girl all over her! Kiett Prince (KP): *smiles warmly* Yay! Welcome to the E N V Y Magazine headquarters! *turns chair around to face Sarah, pulling out interview recorder* Oh wait Sarah! Is this your creation that you're wearing??? *Sarah is wearing a sexy outfit that reminds Kiett of a

Tokyo inspired street style pink and grey ensemble that Kiett has not seen replicated anywhere in SL! Loving it!* Sarah Tremor (Sarah Tremor): Yes Kiett :) That’s one of my latest :)! KP: *grins* I love it!’

Sarah Tremor:

:) Thank you!

KP: You're so welcome! What is this look? Is this Edgy Punk? Sarah Tremor: Well, most of my creations are slightly provocative in the way of "accidentally sexy", but not without class. And almost any of it is mix and match. KP: Which is super important! I hate not being able to mix and match! Now, the name of your store? *Kiett tries to pronounce it using a German accent* EDELFABRIK Sarah Tremor: laughs at Kiett’s accent....[Adele-fabric] :). KP: Where'd you get the name from? *laughs at herself* Sarah Tremor: Yes, thats a German word, a 2 word combination it means "noble factory" KP: I wasn't too far off track! German! *pats herself on the back* Are you German? Sarah Tremor: Yeah, I am German. *laughs* KP: Guten! I love my Germans! I think in your style, it is very modern German and street style Tokyo to me - very sexy, very creative and unique!
