Editor’s Notes By Nya B. Narciso

Hi Everyone, I'm Nya Narciso the newest Editor In Chief for E N V Y Magazine. I joined E N V Y because I've always been a fan of the magazine. I admired the drive and passion I witnessed from the CEO of the magazine. When I was informed of the open position to be an Editor, I jumped at the chance to be part of something I've always loved. Since becoming part of the staff at E N V Y, I have enjoyed meeting everyone. They are all down to earth people who made me feel welcome from the minute I was introduced to the team. I've been asked what do I plan to do since signing on with E N V Y. The only thing I can say is the sky’s the limit. I want to learn everything I possibly can about being part of a magazine as successful as E N V Y. This week I'm publishing; next week I want to work with the modeling department; or take photos, or even write articles. I want to do a little bit of everything. E N V Y Magazine is currently having a photo campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness called "Bald & Fierce" and we are inviting YOU to post your best bald and fierce photos on our Flickr and Facebook pages. Join E N V Y Models in the next issue as “Pink Warriors”, as they raise breast cancer awareness to a new and awesome level. I'm really excited about the insightful interviews with Strawberry Singh and the founder of Sigma Gamma Nu. They are both very good and our writers did a wonderful job. Also, the E N V Y Models have brought to you new Fall Trends of 2016. The Models slayed this issue using poses by Pose Talk. The SWANK event starts on the 7th. This month’s ad can be seen on page 16 of this issue, you can also visit their Facebook page for more details about SWANK. If you have any announcements that you want in the "What's Happening Around The Grid" section of the magazine, please click the following link for the form. We all have people who we look up to. Today, I got the opportunity to talk with someone who is an inspiration for me. Who is this person? Read on to find out! Sarahelisebeth Brenham: How did you discover Second Life?

Strawberry Singh: A friend told me

about it so I joined to see what it was all about. I was very lost at first as I wasn't really a gamer so it was hard for me to get used to it. After a week though, I was hooked. Sarahelisebeth Brenham: What was your first year on Second Life like?

lol. She was after me for months and I really had no interest in writing a blog, I was more interested in taking pictures, socializing and dancing in SL. But after a few months of her harassing me, I finally did one post and I was hooked right from the start. Sarahelisebeth Brenham: What do you feel makes a good blog? Strawberry Singh: When a blogger really enjoys what they do it shows in their work, and that's what makes it also enjoyable to read. Sarahelisebeth Brenham: What are your plans for the future?

Strawberry Singh: I am not really sure Strawberry Singh: I was actually the other than just keep doing what I enjoy most social in that first year. I made doing in Second Life and these days it's most of my friends then and still talk to a blogging and making videos for lot of the ones that are still around. The Youtube. I'm having fun with that and it first year is also when I started taking gives me the relaxation time I need when pictures of my avatar, getting into Sec- I escape from real life. ond Life photography and also started my blog. Thank you for Ms. Singh for taking time Sarahelisebeth Brenham: How did you out to talk with me! get into blogging?

Strawberry Singh: A friend of mine had a Second Life fashion blog of her own and pretty much forced me to join her, 12 - E N V Y MAGAZINE

There are many Greek organizations in SL. Sororities and fraternities with various purposes and different focuses. Sigma Gamma Nu is one of Second Life’s newest Greek fraternities. Recently, I was able to sit down with the founder, Jaysmoove Inglewood, and gained some insight of what is involved in a fraternity start-up. Maiya: First of all let me say thank you for making time for this interview. I really do appreciate it. Jaysmoove: Thank you for having me. Maiya: Let’s start with this one. Please tell me a little about yourself. How long have you been in SL? Jaysmoove: I started playing SL 2008. Maiya: How long have you been SL Greek? Jaysmoove: Since June 2015. Maiya: When was Sigma Gamma Nu founded? Jaysmoove: Sigma Gamma Nu was founded August 8, 2016. Maiya: Why Sigma Gamma Nu? What is the meaning of the fraternity name? Jaysmoove: There is no magic to the meaning. It just had a nice sound to it. When I left my last fraternity I didn’t want to use similar letters so I chose something that was totally different. I liked the way that it flowed. After thinking about the name for several days it was what SL gave back to me. It just flowed. Maiya: What are your fraternity colors? Jaysmoove: Our colors are black, baby blue, and silver Maiya: What do the colors symbolize for SGN? Jaysmoove: They are my favorite colors. 20 - E N V Y MAGAZINE

I wanted to add on to what was already out there.

Maiya: What would be the main difference between Sigma Gamma Nu and the other fraternities?

Maiya: Is there anything that you would like to say to potential brothers? Jaysmoove: (Laughing) We would simply like to say welcome!! Maiya: Thank you Jaysmoove for your time today. Good luck to Sigma Gamma Nu.

Jaysmoove: We will be different by focusing on positive brotherhood and not slapping other fraternities in the face. A lot of times the brotherhood aspect is missing. Maiya: How many members do you currently have? VOL 3.3

Typically, I rarely have opportunities like on Saturday night where I have a sliver of free time to explore Second Life communities and events. But on Saturday October 1st, I had 45 minutes to explore! I hopped on the RP train and let the first announcement be my deciding factor on where I was going to spend the evening! The conductor announced that Eden Valley High School’s Theatrical Dance Class was having a performance and the next stop was their theater! I jumped off the train but broke my Jimmy Choos, landed on my knees and my wig wouldn’t sit straight anymore. I looked like I had been working the streets! Nevertheless, I ignored the stares and took a seat in the very, very, very back of the roomy high school theater and made it just in time for the opening performance. The theme was called "Genres" and the dance troupe really did a wonderful job of engaging me. I loved the different sets and scenes, the diversity of the performers, and the music was a mixture of taste and variety! The two most memorable performances for me were the opening performance of Eden Valley High School’s mascot, Mr. Wildcat. The dance, choreographed by Mr. Davis, incorporated hip hop and modern dance styles. I loved his set design, it reminded me of the basement where I took this guy’s virg----whoaaaaa….we’ll save that for later. My second fav was Hayden Blackburn who performed ballet and modern with a castle, bonfire and cool motif of a Romeo & Juliet theme to establish the mood for her performance. What was really adorable, was her ending where she rode off into the sunset with her knight in shining armor. Very cute and romantic! It was very well done and thoughtful. After the program had its last performance, I quickly limped out of the theater to not alarm any parents or littles at my appearance. Caught the last train back home and buried my broken Jimmy Choo heels. I so enjoyed my time at Eden Valley High School Dance Performance! They have events and performances every month. You can look for more about them at http:// edenvalleyhighschool.com/ !

Sarah Tremor, owner and designer of Edelfabrik By Kiett Prince

Guten Tag E N V Y Readers! We are here with none other than the energetic and spry Miss Sarah Tremor the owner, mesh designer and creator of Edelfabr\k! She uses Blender, Photoshop and a little Black Forest magic to bring you original content for all mesh body types! If you didn’t guess it, she’s a German designer! We chat, we visit her store, we exchange horoscope signs and of course, I fan girl all over her! Kiett Prince (KP): *smiles warmly* Yay! Welcome to the E N V Y Magazine headquarters! *turns chair around to face Sarah, pulling out interview recorder* Oh wait Sarah! Is this your creation that you're wearing??? *Sarah is wearing a sexy outfit that reminds Kiett of a

Tokyo inspired street style pink and grey ensemble that Kiett has not seen replicated anywhere in SL! Loving it!* Sarah Tremor (Sarah Tremor): Yes Kiett :) That’s one of my latest :)! KP: *grins* I love it!’ Sarah Tremor:

:) Thank you!

KP: You're so welcome! What is this look? Is this Edgy Punk? Sarah Tremor: Well, most of my creations are slightly provocative in the way of "accidentally sexy", but not without class. And almost any of it is mix and match. KP: Which is super important! I hate not being able to mix and match! Now, the name of your store? *Kiett tries to pronounce it using a German accent* EDELFABRIK Sarah Tremor: laughs at Kiett’s accent....[Adele-fabric] :).

KP: Where'd you get the name from? *laughs at herself* Sarah Tremor: Yes, thats a German word, a 2 word combination it means "noble factory" KP: I wasn't too far off track! German! *pats herself on the back* Are you German? Sarah Tremor: Yeah, I am German. *laughs* KP: Guten! I love my Germans! I think in your style, it is very modern German and street style Tokyo to me - very sexy, very creative and unique!
