Delivery: Preprinted ad inserts are delivered to the newspaper at advertisers expense and should arrive 7 working day prior to insertion date. Deliveries are accepted Monday-Friday 9 a.m - 4 p.m. (Except only until 1 p.m. on Thursdays.)

Commercial Printing

In addition to printing The Astorian and other EO Media Group newspapers, The Astorian commercial printing department prints many other publications in our region, including newspapers on the West Coast from Crescent City, California to Long Beach, Washington, Columbia County, Eastern Oregon and the Willamette Valley.

The Astorian commercial depertment printing also prints full color retail advertising supplements, high school and college newspapers. The jobs are printed on a Tensor 1400 cold web press using process color and the latest computer-to-plate technology.

The Astorian commercial printing department has a helpful and knowledgeable prepress department to assist you with getting your job from the idea stage to press, including graphic design services. A digital flip book can be produced for all commercially printed publications. Call John Bruijn at 971-704-1711 to quote your print job.

Terms and conditions

Acceptance of advertising:

EO Media Group reserves the right to revise or reject any advertisement. No advertising may br brokered or resold.

Ad sizes:

The minimum size display ad is one column by 1 inch. All advertisements are billed by the 1/2 inch.

Ads that imitate news material:

Any advertising designed to imitate news material will have the word “advertisement” set above the ad and be bordered on all four sides.

The publisher assumes no financial responsibility for typographical errors, in duration of publication, wrong classification, the omission of copy (partially or completely) or complete omission of the total ad in either classified, display advertising or special section projects. Liability for errors or omissions shall not exceed the cost to the advertiser(s) of the portion of space occupied by such error.

Position of advertisements:

Requests for special positioning will be given every consideration whenever possible, but are not guaranteed.

Omissions and errors:

EO Media Group will exercise due care to prevent omissions and mistakes. Liability for any error in any advertisement published shall not exceed the proportionate space in which the error occured. Credit, when allowable, will apply to the first insertion only.

Cancellation of advertisements:

Any ad canceled past deadline may be billed at 25% of the ad.

Payment for advertising:

Billed accounts are due and payable on or before the 10th day of the month following publication. When any part of an account becomes delinquent, the entire amount shall become due and payable and any existing agreement may be canceled. Bills not paid within 30 days are subject to a 11/2% monthly finance charge (18% annually) Advertiser is ultimately responsible and liable for payment in the event that the agency defaults payment to publisher.

Contract cancellation and revisions:

If you have to cancel your advertising agreement, the space used will be charged at the rate earned. Upon cancellation or at the end of your contract year, the rate will be adjusted to the level of inches actually run. Cancellation of print ads must be received 48 hours prior to the publication in which the ad is to run.
