FIGS IN SYRUP

Typically when we think Feta we think of Greece. Unlike the many Fetas before, Fetalia is solely crafted on the island of Sardinia - a pristine, reclusive island in the Mediterranean off the coast of Italy. Known for its mountainous regions and coastal shores, Sardinia is also home to the Sarda Sheep which is used exclusively to craft Fetalia Feta.

The Sarda Sheep breed is indigenous to the island of Sardinia and is best known for providing milk to create Pecorino Sardo. Sarda Sheep are high-milk yielding animals and are considered to be among the best Italian breeds of sheep for production of sheep’s milk. The breed provides cheesemakers with rich, fat-laced cheese.

Feta From Sardinia

CREAMY, CRUMBLY FETA

Fetalia Feta is a brined, sheep’s milk curd cheese that’s bright white in color with a semi-soft, crumbly texture. On the palate, it is slightly salty with a rich, creamy mouth feel that leaves your taste buds tingling. As it ages, the flavor becomes more distinct with a sharper, saltier taste.

Fetalia Feta adds an additional depth of flavor and texture to an array of dishes. Enjoy by itself as a yummy snack or crumbled on top of salads, flat breads, sandwiches, pasta or incorporated into your favorite recipe.
