After a devasting fire that destroyed Newly Weds Foods’ Chicago production plant, Epstein provided DesignBuild services for a new two-story 250,000-square-foot food production/warehouse facility. In addition, Epstein is also providing full-service design and engineering services for the conceptual design of the fit-out of an approximately 35,000-40,000 square feet of an existing office building into an Baking R&D Center.

Full-service design and engineering services for a 595,000-square-foot renovation of an existing warehouse facility into a process plant. The renovated facility produces 60 million pounds of finished goods and adds approximately 32,000 square feet to the building’s total area in order to accommodate and support the client’s unique processes.

Design and engineering services for a 77,600-square-foot expansion, which features additional raw material storage areas, including temperature and humidity controlled environments, preparation kitchens, dough production areas, and production space.
ARYZTA
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
Master planning, existing building assessment and basis of design for a new 330,000-square-foot, high output bakery with eight lines and inline spiral freezing. Epstein has helped ARYZTA with numerous iterations, finetuning the master plan to achieve desired business outcomes, including the potential for an additional 300,000-squarefoot building addition for the warehousing operation. Epstein has also assisted ARYZTA with their other affiliated companies on various other master plans.
Keebler/Kellogg’s
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
Architectural, structural, civil, M/E/P engineering services, as well as process engineering design assistance, for the expansion of Keebler’s existing ice cream cone manufacturing plant located in the West Pullman neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.

YADKINVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
Site selection and full design and construction management services for the conversion of a 380,000-square-foot textile manufacturing plant to accommodate an FDA inspected 5-line bakery.
Ruiz Food Products, Inc.
DENISON, TEXAS
Design/construction management services for the remodeling, renovation and adaptive re-use of a 262,000-square-foot vacant Pillsbury Foods plant into a frozen Mexican entrée production facility that includes a tortilla bakery.
Cloverhill Bakery
CICERO, ILLINOIS
Developed a master plan for a bakery facility for Cloverhill, a division of ARYZTA. The study addressed pending plant modifications, compliance with ARYZTA’S global sanitary design standards, and future operational goals.

Design services for a 30,000-square-foot, 4-line bakery within the Camp Humphrey’s new 400,000-square-foot distribution center. Designed the bakery process, including ingredient receiving through processing, baking/frying, packaging and shipping.
