Project also includes cooling of storage areas via central Ammonia/Glycol System, racked/refrigerated storage areas at +34 F and refrigerated Processing areas at +40 F.

Design-Build services for a 650,000-square-foot pork processing plant. Refrigerated spaces include 26,473 square foot 34° F cooler, a 16,580 square foot 28° F fresh product cooler with 2,615 pallet position in 5-high pushback racking, 14,567 square foot -15° freezer with 1,915 pallet positions in 5-high pushback racking, a 6,446 square foot -25° blast freezer with 450 pallet position in pushback racking, and 18,037 square feet of 42° shipping docks.

Design-Build services for a new 925,000-square-foot, $335M Pork Processing Plant. The facility features a wide variety of refrigerated spaces, including a -22° Snap Chill room, multiple 26° Equilibration Bays, 24° Fresh Product Storage space and a 40° dock.

CHIHUAHUA, MEXICO

Full architectural and engineering design services for this 29,630-square-foot fruit and vegetable distribution center. The building features 25 foot clear height storage space and is refrigerated to a mixture of temperatures.

Design, civil engineering and LEED consulting services for the new 91,300-square-foot

LEED-NC Platinum headquarters and produce distribution facility located in the old Union Stockyards complex in Chicago, Illinois. Facility features a 7,600-square-foot 0° freezer, 24,700 square feet of cooler space, approximately 39,000 square feet of dry warehouse and 40 truck dock positions on two refrigerated cross docks.

Design-Build services for multiple grocery distribution centers featuring freezers with racked storage areas & two stage ammonia refrigeration systems that serve -10 F freezers and various produce rooms.

Our nearly 100 years of refrigerated facility experience ranges from cold storage warehouses in the 1920’s to our current work with multi-temperature distribution facilities.

The majority of our experience with perishable facilities has been with the grocery industry, but we have also done a large number of temperature controlled facilities for food processors. All of this experience had added to our body of knowledge with respect to the facility and the operating systems.
