letter from the ad Dear Friends,
Department Highlights 2.3 Million
Welcome to the 2017-18 edition of the Embry-Riddle Athletics annual report. This is the third edition of this report since our transition to the NCAA and there is much to be proud of.
ERAUAthletics.com has seen over 2.3 million page views since its inception
As you are likely aware, we recently completed our first year as full members of the Sunshine State Conference and NCAA Division II. Our inaugural season was met with great success and we are excited about what the future holds for our program.
Video of Embry-Riddle Baseball’s walk-off win over Felician reached over 500,000 views on Twitter
On the pages ahead, you will find highlights from an outstanding 2017-18 year. Our student-athletes continue to achieve at a high level in the classroom, they are active in our community and they continue to lead by example, both on and off campus. And finally, after a two-year transition to the NCAA, we returned to post-season play – with three teams winning conference championships and five teams qualifying for NCAA tournaments! With the addition of four new sports this year (men’s/women’s lacrosse and men’s/ women’s rowing), we are up to 20 sports total and over 400 student-athletes. While our numbers have grown significantly over the last few years, we remain committed to the “Student-Person-Player” philosophy that has served us so well. As an alumnus and former student-athlete here at Embry-Riddle, I am incredibly proud of our coaches, our staff and the outstanding student-athletes that represent our institution every day. Thank you for your continued support of our program!
