Advanced: against.
In this work I present some arguments about Here I expose some of my comments against the fact that we should not give classes in recent English graduates.
1. Command of the language. The famous TOEFL will not serve you this time. The unit requires to accredit the knowledge of English with either of these certificates: the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) or the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE). The minimum level you must prove is C1. And when we graduate, I don’t consider we have that level yet.
2. Didactic skills. It is not enough to speak perfect English: it is also necessary to know the strategies to teach it. Included here are some theoretical concepts of language teaching, lesson planning and classroom management.
3. Intellectual skills and ethical-professional responsibilities. The person’s ability to study and reflect, his interest in improving his practice, his attitudes, his ties with the community, and the degree of his ethical and legal responsibilities. We need to consider this too. These are some of them, hoping they can be understood, and that, above all, one can analyse the position and understand which one is best suited.
