A little over two million was allocated for renovation of and equipment for the Alma Campus in the FY07 state budget. In addition to the innovative design, the building is equiped with the latest technologies, including a $50,000 CISCO lab purchased with USDA grant funds.
Waycross Campus Expansion The allied health building was turned over to OTC November 3, 2009, and the College began serving students in the new facility January 5, 2010.
“The decision by the Governor to fund the renovation is a direct result of the pro-education, progrowth business climate of this community. - Thaxton

OTC Foundation Gritz & Glitz Gala
Toolbox Scholarship Golf Tournament
The 3rd annual Gritz & Glitz Gala was another glitzy occasion as over 150 people attended the event held June 5, 2010, to benefit OTC students and programs. Eighty-three tickets had been drawn from the tumbler when the emcee stopped the drawing to discuss options with the remaining five ticket holders. Batten offered the finalists two options – continue with the drawing, risking all or nothing, or stop now and split the $5,000. In an unprecedented turn of events, the finalists decided to split the grand prize. Proceeds exceeded $19,000.
With 23 teams, 91 players, and 39 sponsors, the tournament was a huge success. Proceeds exceeding $14,000 funded “toolbox scholarships,” which helped 57 recipients purchase “tools” required for their program.
