WELCOME

Dear Volunteer, As I think back over the past 15 months, time seems to have raced by in a whirlwind. Nearly each day has been filled with definite evidences of the war between Christ and Satan and yet the colossal supremacy of God remains evident. The stakes are so high and the reward so great, it has been phenomenal to watch God’s mighty hand at work. We are only here this week because of God’s power and your sacrificial giving to stand as witnesses to Christ’s transforming love, available to all.

Daily I am learning that “there is comfort and joy in the service of Christ” (MH 488) and that even in the most difficult of trials I can depend upon Him. And though it is true that each of us will likely stumble and fall, we can be assured that by “His Transforming Love” we will, “day by day, year by year…conquer self ” (MH, 487). “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Mt. 19:26) and we can further be “confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun What has most clearly impressed me with Pathway- a good work in you will perform (complete) it until the LA is the Almighty Power that accompanies the right day of Jesus Christ.” (Phil. 1:6) (Transformed by Grace, use of Christ’s chosen method of demonstrating His love AA Chapter 55) for humanity. As we behold Christ’s love exemplified This is my prayer for myself, my family and in physical, mental and spiritual healing, it has such a each of you. May God richly bless us all, and by “His transforming power that it not only affects the individual Transforming Love,” make us into a people that truly patient and the surrounding community, it also transforms reflect Him to a dying world. us as volunteers. As we recognize His love for us and all of Yours in Christ, humanity and then, in response, demonstrate our love for God by loving “your neighbor as yourself ” (Mark 12:31) LELA LEWIS, MD, MPH we cannot help but be personally transformed. For truly, President “by beholding we become changed” or “transformed Your Best Pathway to Health into His image” or likeness from “glory to glory” (2 Cor. 3:18,19). Through this process it becomes evident to us that God, who has the power to heal physical and mental disease, is even more able to forgive us and cleanse us from our sins (Luke 5:23). On a very personal note, “His Transforming Love” is daily changing me. Over the last year, by focusing on the love of Christ and demonstrating His love to others by caring and praying for the needy citizens of Los Angeles, Christ has reignited in my life a deep unprecedented love and dependence upon Him.

PROJECTS

YOUR BEST PATHWAY TO HEALTH – PROJECTS The success of Your best Pathway to Health is a result of God’s grace and donations from its partners, supporters and volunteers. Because of people like you, Pathway to Health continues to be a conduit of blessing to thousands whose physical, mental and spiritual needs would go unmet. We invite you to partner with us as we strive to use every available resource to make a difference in the lives of others. Thank you for considering how your financial gift/commitment can assist in the acquisition of necessary equipment and supplies to meet the needs of those we seek to serve. Children’s Program - $12,000 The children of patients and volunteers receive care from volunteers that provide meaningful interaction with tools and educational materials while parents are away. These funds will equip and enhance the children’s program so volunteers have what they need to meet the needs of these precious little ones. Radiology Services – $185,000 Symptoms such as joint pain, abdominal pain, pelvic pain, swelling, chronic coughs, difficulty breathing and chest pain can be indicative of multiple conditions. Only proper evaluation can identify the problem and if it can be treated in an outpatient setting. An echocardiogram and ultrasound machine would mean the difference between referral and on-the-spot treatment. Surgical Services - $115,000 Fundamental to the care of patients is the ability to serve patients quickly and efficiently with instruments and supplies immediately available. Exam tables, surgical instruments and autoclaves for instrument sterilization are critical to meet this need for the volume of patients served in the mega-clinic setting. Supplies and General Expenses - $188,000 Over 30 departments are at the core of YbPTH. The magnitude of this venture comes with a need for multiple small ticket items and services that are fundamental to each department running well. We are grateful for many which are supplied in-kind or on loan. The ability to secure these items and services would guarantee basic services can be provided. For a list of additional needs, visit www.PathwayToHealthVolunteer.org

PROJECT GOAL: $500,000

Give online at: www.PathwayToHealthVolunteer.org or give by check or credit card. *In the event that any portion of the listed project goals are met via other means, YbPTH will redirect funds to other approved project/organizational needs.
