As I was thinking about my contribution to the newsletter this month, I decided to share the great interaction we have had with our membership in preparation for the fall season. It’s exciting to see the courses being hosted by your associations, preparing your coaches at the Grassroots level and the D level. Our instructors have had a busy summer! A number of our recreation associations are kicking off their fall season with a fun Publix Road Show and with a TopSoccer coaches’ course and buddy certification. Classic is well underway and State Cup locations are set for the fall! A big THANK YOU to our member associations hosting our cup weekends. Please share our THANKS to your volunteers for helping to make it a great event! The Academy program has had scheduling meetings and plans for the Fall Showcase are well underway. If you haven’t had the opportunity to attend one of the Showcases, it is a great event for the players and parents! We have had several states implement our Academy program in their states and now a version of it is in the process of being offered nationally! Thanks to all our participating members; you have helped to make it a success. Looking ahead – NCYSA listened to your requests for tools to encourage positive behavior. A committee has been formed, lots of research has been done and COMING SOON is support we hope you will find useful. Thank you Boxley Llewellyn for heading this project! NCYSA is also looking at additional services to offer our membership. Remember, we have an Executive Board and Staff that wants to support our members. WE ARE ONLY A PHONE CALL AWAY!
