Spring Regional Training Conferences Regional Training Conferences was one of the very first events where I was able to meet the other clubs in my division. Unfortunately, due to ride problems and school policies I was only able to see one other club from my Division that wasn’t my home club and that was North Bergen. But I still appreciate that at least one member from my division that I had not met before was able to come and that made me feel great. For a lot of Key Clubbers this was the beginning of their Key Club chapters and the start of our 2013 year in review seg-
1st Divisional Council Meeting This was one of the first Divisional events that I had held and I believe the initial time when I had met everyone in the division at one time.. I’ll admit I was nervous before I met all of you but soon I realized that despite the different towns that we were from, we were all Key Clubbers and that definitely helped me to relax a lot more with all of you. The meeting was held at a Starbucks which would soon be a meeting place again as Starbucks is quite honestly a pretty good place to meet.

International Convention I don’t want to go too much into detail on the Intenational Convention as I did have an entire newsletter dedicated to the one event but I will say that an event that received a whole newsletter from me means that it must be extraordinary. And International Convention certainly was, as such I urge all of you to try and attend International Convention next year in Anaheim, California!
2nd Divisional Council Meeting and Divisional Potluck Dinner This was the second Divisional Council Meeting and it was paired with our first Divisional event which was the Divisional Potluck dinner. At this Divisional Event I was really glad with the amount of attendance that I had gotten from the Division. I saw how excited the rest of you guys were for the upcoming Fall Regional Training Conferences and Fall Rally. This was then followed up with the Divisional Potluck at which we had so much food to eat from. Along with having nearly every single officer present at this event trained I was able to leave satisfied with the amount of information that I was able to share with the Division. For the second Divisional Council Meeting I thought that it was nice for a change that it wasn’t at a Starbucks location this time.

Fall Regional Training Conferences On this Regional Training Conferences, things were very different when compared to the Spring Regional Training Conferences. For instance, I was able to have near perfect attendance of all the Emerson officers to this event and I was completely surprised and happy upon seeing the group there. I was also able to showcase a wonderful poster board created by the Tenafly Club on FUNdraising which I was then able to use as part of my presentation later on.
Fall Rally On this wonderful event, the entire New Jersey District gathered together and was able to have a ton of fun at Six Flags Great Adventure. The numbers that I saw after the event were absolutely amazing, and I have to say it is thanks to the individual Key Clubs that advertised this event out to the other clubs. So many Key Clubbers have told me of the fun and how they enjoy the experience that they had gotten after going to this event.

Third Divisional Council Meeting This was one of the more recent Divisional events that occurred. Unfortunately this didn’t pan out as well as I thought it would due to weather conditions. Yet despite the harsh conditions I was still able to meet quorum at this and with the minimum amount of club attendance I was able to inform the rest of the division of all the upcoming events.
What now? So now I’d like to ask those of you reading to think back to this past 2013 year and think wow, how amazing was that? It’s great to ponder about the past from time to time but now I’m going to discuss about now, the present and the future. We are literally days away from a New Year and as such, think about upcoming events now, and if you will attend them or not as they will affect the future later on.
Elections! I truly enjoy being Lieutenant Governor but I cannot be selfish and have the position all to myself. I have been at it for quite a while now and it is now time for me to pass down the baton. I will be holding elections soon. They will be taking place on Saturday, February 1st at 2PM at the Fairview Library. Please take note of this and plan accordingly. At this elections I will need the attendance of at least 2 club members per representing club to act as delegates. This is extremely imperative in terms of the election process so please let me know if there is any conflict with the scheduling. You will be electing the potential new Lieutenant Governor that will be representing this Division. Before the elections please take note that there will be our 4th Divisional Council Meeting at this time.

I urge all clubs to attend this event. Utilize these resources as you please. Here is a quick list of things about things that you can do before the actual District Convention: There are several contests to enter for including: A Talent show, Oratorical and Impromptu Essay contest so you can start considering these options. Scholarships for Key Club Seniors! The Club Annual Achievement Award Here are some promotional tools that are available for y’all to help promote DCON!

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! Hi Everyone! Thank you all for taking the time to read my fourth edition of QuirKEY. I hope that you all enjoyed it! It was quite a refresher for me to look back and see the past events of this year and that helped give new perspective of the upcoming event of this year. I will have my next newsletter focus more on things District-wide and Divisional so that you will know more information on this for the upcoming elections. Before the elections I would also like to plan club visits so I will be emailing you all soon about that. Look forward to my next newsletter issue and as always, have a splendiferous day!
