GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE Logan Grant Welcome to August. I hope that all of you enjoyed Member/Guest this year. The bunker project is just about done. They are finishing up hole 10 and hole 1 this week. We are going to have them fix some of the fairway bunkers on the back 9 once they get everything else completed. This month we are going to keep working on some drainage around the greens. We are going to work on 13 green and 18 green. We have been doing a lot of work this year to try and get the green surrounds looking the way they do now. If you see Ben around thank him for his work. We still have some room for improvement, but they are coming along.

We will start punching holes in the fairways and roughs next month as well as the tee boxes. I will work on a schedule that I will post in the members locker rooms so everyone will know what holes we will be on. We will not start greens until October, so everyone will have time to enjoy the rest of the summer. It was a crazy July this year. I only ran irrigation 13 times. Mother nature was kind to us this year. I look forward to ending the season strong. We have some other small projects out there that we will continue to work on. We have about 3 weeks of growing season left. It has been a great year so far and I hope everyone has enjoyed their summer. This month is the best month in my mind as the leaves start to change and the mornings are getting cooler. Hope to see you out there and have a great month everybody.

GOLF PRO SHOP GOLF STAFF Scott Sasser We have made it to August in the 2022 golf season. So far, we have had several Member golf events including Member/Member, Couples Tournament and the Member/Guest. I want to start by saying thank you to all who have participated this year. In August, we have the Club Championship scheduled for the last weekend of the month. The dates are August 27th and August 28th. This event has 3 divisions, Men's Championship, Men's Senior and Women's Championship. Winners will receive a trophy, parking spot and bragging rights for the next year! In addition, we have an open clinic scheduled for August 3rd at 5:00 pm and a beginner clinic scheduled for August 15th at 5:00 pm. To sign up, contact the golf shop today!

The Member/Guest was a fantastic event, big shout out to all who participated. The food was amazing thanks to Chef Maureen and her staff, drinks were flowing from start to finish and the weather held off for one amazing weekend. Can't wait to see how we can build on this event for 2023. Congratulations to the winning team; Michael Pistilli and his guest Neil Pitzer. A well derserved win for a couple of gentleman. The trophy presentation and bagpiper were a great touch to a great event. Finally, The Raven Golf Staff will be hosting a charity golf event for Tunnel to Towers, an organization local resident and wounded warrior, Brandon Adam recommended. We have high hopes to raise big dollars for this foundation and look forward to hosting an amazing charity event. If you need more info on sponsorship or to sign up a team, reach out to Scott. The event is scheduled for Labor Day, September 5th.

FOOD & BEVERAGE FEATURED RECIPIE Chef Maureen Swanson I wanted to start off by thanking all of the members for such a warm reception throughout the Member/Guest event. It was so fun cooking for members I have gotten to know over the last few months as well as meeting new members and their guests. My kitchen has been busy putting specials together the last few weekends and the turn out has been excellent. We would love to keep the momentum going for the rest of the season. Our Thursday night 'Raven Pub Night' has been a hit! Pizzas, burgers and wings seem to be drawing the cool crowd to get the weekend started :) Our reservation book has been filling up fast for my Friday and Saturday night specials. There are more "Foodies" here than I thought and all the feedback is awesome. When people are stopping to watch me roll fresh pasta and ask for the recipe, well, makes me really enjoy my job. With a new outdoor grill and a new smoker added last week, our menu for the rest of summer is going to be better than ever. Please make sure to join us!!!
