GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE Michael Galvin

We are pleased how the courses came out of Winter. This allows us to be in a great place to be aggressive with the turf this Spring. A deep verti-cutting process is complete on The Oaks greens followed up with a core aerification on the greens. We have a contract with an aeration company to aerate The Oaks fairways May 2nd and May 3rd. As we all wait for the temperatures to warm up, it is very important that we all do our part and fill in and replace any divots and always repair ball marks on greens.

GOLF PRO SHOP GOLF RULES & TIPS Paul Celano Pace of Play Pace of Play time at The International is four hours or less. When you are having trouble keeping pace with the group in front, please step aside and let faster groups play through. From the Coaching Tee Grip Pressure Tight Grip Pressure causes your swing to get short and quick, resulting in less than solid contact. Try softening your arms and holding the club lightly enough to feel the weight of the clubhead at address and throughout the swing.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT - EUGENE LEE

Occupation – Portfolio Manager at Taal Capital Management Why he joined The International – Eugene fell in love with the club the moment he walked on the course. He was looking for a place where to call home and he knew after playing 2 holes he had found it. He convinced his friend to join before he filled out his own paperwork. Fun Fact – He spent the pandemic attempting to make authentic paella. Members like Eugene are what makes The International such a fantastic place.
