It’s February and we want to help you celebrate the month of “love” with us From a romantic Valentines Day Dinner at the club to finding that perfect little something from the golf shop for your special someone, we look forward to seeing you at the club

But we ’ re not just talking about romance How about sharing your love for the game of golf with the next generation by participating in the upcoming First Tee Tournament on Monday February 13th Our Men’s Golf Association is spearheading this great event to raise funds for the First Tee of North Florida Stop by the golf shop for details

And what’s better than sharing a fun golf event with your friends this month? With great anticipation, we are excited to be hosting the “hurricane postponed” Women’s Member Guest February 26th thru the 28th. “Around the World in 18 Holes” is the theme and the committees have an outstanding event lined up for you and your guests. The sign up deadline is approaching so please get your entry into the golf shop asap.

Not a golfer but maybe you ’ ve said “I would love to try golf”? Join our Head Professional Billy Van Arsdale on the driving range Thursday February 9th at 3pm for a complimentary golf clinic. All levels of golfers are welcome. No need to sign up, just show up.

Indulge your love to shop this month with a secret Valentine Discount on any tops or bottoms in the golf shop The Sale will run from February 7th through the 14th New collections have been arriving for season, so shop early to get the best selection! Each Secret Valentine drawn will be placed in a chance to win a free Guest Round of golf!

We are excited to be launching a new Membership category this year, The Haven Golf Membership The Haven Golf Membership includes 15 rounds of golf per year at cart fee only and allows you to play more rounds at a preferred rate. This is a wonderful category for anyone that plays on a more casual basis or isn't here full time If you think you might have a friend or neighbor that would be interested in this Membership, please reach out, I would love the opportunity to discuss the details with them. Thank you for your referrals! We continue to add some wonderful new members to the club. MESSAGE FROM THE PRO SHOP

During the time the back range has been closed we have had a couple of issues with members hitting from the normal range tee to the little chipping green beside the bunker. Please limit hitting shots to the chipping green only from close range. Shots directed from the tee area are coming to close to players putting and trying to use the bunker Trust me I have been hit by a golf shot before and it is not a pleasant experience I had a bruise on my chin bone for 10 days and you could make out the dimples from the ball for a week. Let’s all be safe using the facilities!

GREAT GOLF SHOTS

Dale Keller Eagled the difficult Par four 9th hole Sunday, January 8th by holing a 7 iron. Dale’s deuce was witnessed by Dennis Emerick and Jim Badour.

Ray Smith had a great round Tuesday, January 10th when he shot 2 strokes better than his age with a 78! Ray’s round was witnessed by Larry Harbaugh, Dan Whitney, and Scott Grant.
