FOOD&BEVERAGE

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Happy New Year! Thank you for dining with us during the 2022 year! I look forward to seeing you in the 2023 year.

As food trends arise, I start looking into different avenues of bringing an exquisite dining experience to you. Some of the trends that are projected (according to The Wicked Noodle) is the increase popularity of "swicy."

The new term “swicy” means a collision of sweet and spicy elements in a dish. Some examples of swicy are chili dark chocolate bars, hot honey, and types of hot chicken. Several recipes of swicy come from South Korea. There is a growing interest in Korean dishes, but whether swicy has an origin in South Korea or not, it is an upcoming trend to try.

Other than special events that will be sent out via email, we will be closed for dining on Sundays. The hours Wednesday and Thursday will remain 11 AM to 8 PM; Friday and Saturday hours will be 11 AM to 9 PM.

I am excited to be here and to build special relationships with all the members. I welcome any feedback or ideas for special events or special menu items. I look forward to spend the new year with you!

WELLNESS

FITNESS DIRECTOR

Happy New Year from CTCC Fitness!

Rolling into a new year may spark resolutions, new motivation, goal-setting, or desire for new intentions

When it comes to your health and fitness journeys, set yourself up for success by setting realistic, attainable goals; in other words, set small goals you know you ’ re able to achieve in a realistic timeline

Little successes build into large accomplishments

Some ideas for attainable goals:

Drink more water in a day set a specific number of glasses, or your water bottle

Change up your walking game walk further or longer, or walk more days in a week

Increase days at the gym or in fitness classes

Learn one new exercise or lift each week

Try one new type of exercise or fitness class a month or a season

Establish a movement routine use a calendar, phone alerts, or accountability partner

Establish a healthy food routine i.e. number of meals in a day, amount of sweets in a week

Golf consistently or on a schedule

Golfers establish a recovery routine 1-2 days a week stretch or plyometrics

Schedule

Our fitness class schedule remains consistent, offering work to increase and improve strength, mobility, flexibility, stability and balance, five days a week! Something new that’ll be found in the fitness community, will be a once a month “Challenge Day,” for some fun and unique workouts to mix it up and keep it interesting.

For the holiday season the fitness community came together to collect items for holiday care packages for my husband’s unit who is currently deployed I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you and appreciation for those that contributed, as well as a special thank you to Vickey Aneser and Dawne Smith for their extra efforts
