WELCOME GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE Welcome to first edition of The Raven Monthly Newsletter. Communication is going to be the priority this year. Along with the monthly newsletter, you will receive a weekly update as well. The weekly update will be sent every Friday. Between these two regular communications and the additional emails, our goal is that you will always have a full understanding of what is happening at your club. We have worked hard to create new events each year. The more programming the better and the more choices each of you has. With the continued influx of new members, we will continue to see our events grow. We know that regular communication will fuel participation and help to create a first class experience for you. Our goal is elevated communication. Yours is to participate in a new event this year! General Manager, Ryan Parr

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE Logan Grant Happy Golf season. Things are starting to come togerther. The greens came out great this winter. We had the tarps on the greens for almost 5 weeks. Right now we have the mow height down to .130. The bunker projects is moving along and things are looking good. They have fairway bunkers on 1 done and all of hole 2. We will need some time before we can play out of them to let the sand firm up and the sod around the bunkers to take. I am very excited about this season as we countine to move forward with the golf course. We are focused on getting the approaches and green surrounds looking better then they have been. We are going to be top dressing approaches and spending extra time on them. The goal is to have most of the bunkers done and playable for member/guest weekend. They might have a few to finish up by then, but most of the course will be playable. The last thing that I want to talk about is that we have a new Assistant Superintendent on staff. I beleive most of you remember Ben Anderson from last season. He finsihed up his degree in turf management in May and is out here full time with us now. Ben will bring another set of eyes to the detail work and addtional turf care ideas to the team. Ben understands the game of golf. Golf has been in his family for years. His dad was a head golf professional in Iowa. Ben has a great understand of the game of golf and enjoys playing as much as he can. Bobby and Zack will now be able to spend most of there time with Irragtion work. Our goal this year is to limit the number of wet areas out on the course. We have a full staff this year. We only have two new faces to the team and I am very exicted about how the staff has worked over the last month to get things ready. From adding new railings to the bridges to smoothig out 12 cart path. I look forward to seeing you all out here and hope to play some golf with you all! Thank you and lets have a great season PAGE 4

I am excited to be presenting notes from the golf shop for the first monthly newsletter. The 2022 golf season kicked off on Friday, May 20th with only a couple of eager golfers ready to get the year started off right! IThe golf staff this year is really excited to serve you all and assist with anything and everything golf related. If you need private lessons, group lessons, league information, tournament information, rules questions or are just looking to chat golf, find one of your golf professionals and we'd be happy to assist! Burnie and Jim will be returning while John Peterson and Justin Wooldridge will be joining the golf staff as Assistant Golf Professionals for the 2022 season.

The ladies 9 and wine will be returning by popular demand scheduled for the 3rd Wednesday of each month which is 9-holes, dinner, and wine tasting! The beginners clinic and the new open clinic will have their first scheduled events. In addition, we have our first Callaway Demo Day on the books as well. Finally, I am excited to announce the biggest change to the 2022 programming is the addition of the Thursday Night Doubles League. It will be a short 810 week season. This will replace play-with-the-pros night so we will allow the golf staff to participate!

FOOD & BEVERAGE FEATURED RECIPIE Chef Maureen Swanson There is a buzz in the kitchen here at the Raven that is unlike any other I have felt in recent years. The culinary staff is brand new, so we have the rare opportunity to start from scratch and build an incredibly strong team of determined and motivated cooks. We have exciting recipes to share with the members and look forward to showcasig our talents this summer with hyperseasonal dishes from around the area. We look forward to getting to know each member, cooking for all of you and having and amazing summer. Although we have a more Italian forward menu with our house-made potato gnocchi or our Lamrusco and blood plum braised chicken, we are also looking forward to grilling out on the patio, smoking some fun meats and incorporating fun beverages. We also love to cook off menu, having weekend specials and also themed dinner party events. We don't want to play the same old hits, so we are super open to hearing suggestions from you!
