WELCOME GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE Jeff Muller

2022 is going to be an exciting year and the team here at the club has been working diligently to prepare for the upcoming season. One of the areas we are continuously working on is member communication to provide you the best member experience. In our ongoing effort to provide you with the best member experience possible, we have been working hard to develop an exciting calendar of events for 2022 designed to create opportunities for you to connect with family and friends, enhance camaraderie with other members, and get more out of your private club membership. We are also working with the VOBO team to bring an app to Pumpkin Ridge that will allow us to communicate instantly with the membership in one area. The 2022 Pumpkin Ridge calendar of events will help you keep track of all of the wonderful golf and social events we have planned. In the event you have not been receiving our e-mails, please call the administrative offices at 503.647.4747.

NEW MEMBERS MEMBERSHIP UPDATE Matt Whitfield Hello PRGC Membership, I wanted to take a moment to say hello and WELCOME our (29) new 2022 FULL MEMBERS to Pumpkin Ridge! As always, it’s a goal of mine to make introductions with new members however please take a moment to introduce yourself to any new faces around the club when you have an opportunity! As we enter 2022, I wanted to share the final totals from another successful Discover Membership “trial” program as we welcomed 14 new full members from 26 enrollments in 2021! The program IS still active however we only have 3 remaining spots available so let me know if you have anyone interested. Once the cap limit of 10 is achieved then we stagger enrollment for new Discover Members to align with existing Discover Members ending and/or upgrading. Initiation Fee update: our Initiation Fees increased from $9,000.00 to $12,500.00 (Junior Executive (under 40 years old)) and $18,000.00 to $25,000.00 (Full Golf (over 40 years old)) on April 1, 2022. Although we are just coming out of our off-season, the course/s remain busy, so we continue to ask for everyone’s commitment with scheduling (and cancelling) tee-times correctly/accurately via EZ Links in order to maximize access for all members. THANK YOU! Additionally, I wanted to pass along that our referral rewards portal is accessible via the members only webpage. For those unaware, the program is still new and has been gaining positive momentum since its inception. Referrals are a major driving factor behind our fantastic membership group at Pumpkin so please continue to let me know if you have any friends/colleagues interested in membership! Lastly, I wanted to share the Icon Golf website with you again. Icon Golf is an enhanced-membership-upgrade that Pumpkin Ridge offers. As many of you know, Pumpkin is one of the 7 Icon Golf Clubs in Escalante’s portfolio. Let me know if you have any questions about membership! If the shoe fits, it is a one-of-a-kind membership!... I’m confident you’ll love being part of the Icon family! I will continue to commit to strengthening our membership group by infusing it with new members and I’m very appreciative of everyone’s support! Thank you!

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE Eric Feldhusen The past month has flown by with aerification being completed on both golf courses in the past 30 days and many projects started or under way as part of the LIV Golf event and overall golf course improvements that we had planned. I wanted to give you some quick updates on the aerification process and projects in process. I am also hoping we see sun and warmer weather sooner than later as we transition into the May! The Ghost Creek green, tee and fairway aerification and topdressing went very well, and everything recovered as expected. Witch Hollow was a little different story. I have not in 28 years of being in this industry ever aerified in snow until this past week.My team did a great job of working around and at times through the elements to complete everything. I do expect Witch Hollow recovery to be a little bit slower than Ghost Creek in the fact the average air and soil temps are almost six degrees cooler this April than this past March and we have had less growing degree days because of this. I am still very happy with the program in place of using all solid tines in the Spring and varying depths to allow as much air and sand in the profile as possible! The LIV Golf event is something that has come at everyone very quickly and my team has had to make a lot of adjustments and sacrifices as we work to bring everything together to make a great event. Will everything thing go smoothly as we prep for this event, probably not but this is not because of a lack of effort. The reality of bringing this event together in just over 90 days is very challenging and even more challenging when we are bringing two golf courses together to make one. We will be able to make a lot of course improvement because of this event and are very excited knowing this!

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE Eric Feldhusen Here is a quick overview of what has or is happening on the golf course and in my department: Making internal adjustments and adding new team members. Leveling of eight pro tee decks for this event. We have also reserved sod to level all our blue and white Par 3 tees on Ghost Creek and Witch Hollow. We will not do # 12 Witch since it was just done last year and # 10 Witch as the blue and white tee are in good shape overall. We will start the leveling of these tees after Labor Day. We are doing it after Labor Day for several reasons including sod and contractor availability and knowing this is the best time to establish new turf to make sure we have a successful project. We will be replacing 6000 square feet of damaged cart paths. Our target start date is the week of April 25th if weather starts to cooperate. This will also include a drain basin and over 300’ of 6” drain line added to 5 Ghost Creek to move the water efficiently into the wetlands the comes into our property from our neighbors and road. We will be repairing and asphalting several areas in our maintenance facility parking lot where we are seeing damage to equipment from potholes and areas of settling. Northwest Tree will be out the week of May 4th for tree work around the golf courses and clubhouses. We are depth checking and adding sand to all bunkers on property. Pacific Landscape Management will be taking over the landscape maintenance of both clubhouses and all the common grounds through the summer. This will allow us to concentrate on the golf courses and helping us bring back these areas to pre Covid conditions. We will be replacing all matting on the foot bridges and adding in a new foot bridge to 10 Ghost. Installing step cuts on both golf courses as we prepare for this tournament. We are working on the planning of a few other short- and long-term projects. When I have everything finalized with these projects, I will provide an update.

GOLF PRO SHOP - GOLF RULES & TIPS John Kawasoe The first month at Pumpkin Ridge has been action packed. I have really enjoyed meeting everyone here. I would like to thank everyone here at PR for the warm welcome. I am very excited to be here! The May golf schedule is fairly light. Hopefully we will start to see and feel some warmer temperatues. Couples Twilight kicks off on May 13th, GG sign up to follow. The Member-Member Shamble is May 14th, two person teams and the player will get 80% of their handicap. A golf genius sign up will be out any day! We have a Home and Home with The Reserve May 20th. while we are still working out some details with The Reserve, sign ups will be out soon!

I would like to offer this short but sweet putting tip. Do you remember when you were young and your teachers/parents told you it takes less muscles to smile than frown? That is a true statement. With that being said, TENSION kills performance. So, the next time you have a short putt that you deem very important to your round, put a huge smile on your face before you hit that putt. You will feel the tension release and it will free you up to sink that putt. I hope this helps a few of you make more putts. Play well and have fun. See you on the links!
