It is with great pride when our team shares stories with guests and visitors of the acts of kindness and inclusion we witness on a daily basis. New to community and don’t know anyone yet? Come play with the MGA, WGA or LGL and you’ll have instant golf buddies Not ready for a golf league, take a few lessons, participate in our monthly complimentary clinics and member mixers We can help you find a group to enjoy and learn together. We are gearing up for our season and looking forward to welcoming back our seasonal residents The weather is perfect for playing a round of golf or participating in our social events

We recently had a wonderful production team visit the club to capture new photos and videos for our new Club website to be launched next year

Otto Bohmueller emerged victorious from a field of ten of the MGA’s finest in our 2022 Summer Shootout. The field qualified as a result of points accumulated in weekly play throughout the summer. Starting on the 10th hole, one golfer with the highest score was eliminated on each hole until we arrived at the 18th with just Otto and Tom Smith still in the hunt Otto made a fine net par to win the hole and the coveted Shootout trophy It was his 5th Shootout victory, which is the most of any MGA member Congratulations, Otto!!

Many thanks to head pro, Billy Van Arsdale, for officiating the festivities and to our beloved Rebecca for keeping us fueled up with water, sodas and beer throughout the nine holes

Grand Haven Holiday Joy Fund

Be watching your mailbox for information on how to contribute to the 2022 Grand Haven Holiday Joy Fund. This fund, which is administered by the Men’s Golf Association, is a wonderful opportunity to recognize our non managerial club employees who do such a terrific job throughout the year All golf, associate and social members are asked to participate

Earlier in October, the first Coastal Niners event of the year was held at Palm Harbor Eleven players from Grand Haven took part Anna Marie Dalles won closest to the pin on the back 9 Margaret Bonz was on the second place team for her flight, and Barrett Anders was part of the third place team on the front 9 Everyone had a great time!

Grand Haven’s LGL was represented by four players at the Cypress Head Invitational October 26 Pablita Wood and Karen Villanova were on teams that tied for second place on the front nine, and the team Barb West played on won second place on the back nine All players had a great time

Halloween has been “spirited away, ” but not before “Special Tuesday,” when the ladies of a lucky foursome each received a spooky bag filled with treats! Now we ’ re on to November, and the Member/Guest Tournament on November 10 12. This year ’ s theme of “Around the World in 18 Holes” promises to provide a challenging golf venue, awesome tee gifts, and mouth watering food and beverages. The Thursday afternoon Par 3 Challenge always meets with rave reviews! As we bid good bye to Thanksgiving and the reminders of how fortunate we are, the WGA looks ahead to the arrival of the Angel Tree, affording us the opportunity to give to others and make Christmas a more joyful occasion for all d.
