Couch Colour vs Cushions Colour Never choose the same colour and pattern for your couch and your cushions as it prevents you from adding any new colour to your living room. Choosing other colours that match with other pieces of furniture will give your living room a much brighter look. Select your Cushion Colour When selecting your cushion colours, you need to pay attention to the other colours that are present in the room. Choose two or three different colours that already exists in the room, it could be any colour. However, they should complement each other in order to give your room a stylish look. How many Cushions? Choosing how many cushions to put on a sofa depends entirely on the look you’re going for whether it’s a traditional look or a modern one and on the size of the sofa. However, three to five is the perfect amount of cushions on a sofa as it’s not too many and not too little. Size and Shape Most people buy the same size and shape of all their cushions; however, try to buy different sizes and shapes whether they’re in the same pattern or not, this will add a more interesting look to your room if you know how to arrange the cushions well. Arrange your Cushions If you’re going for a traditional look, then go for the classic arrangement which is one or two cushions at each end. If you’re going for a more modern look, then you can mix things up a bit.
