MUSCAT: If you’re travelling to Thailand, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) expects you to respect the feelings and sensitivities of the Thai nationals after their monarch, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, passed away. “As Thailand is currently in a period of national mourning after the passing of beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej, we expect

visitors to wear respectful attire,” a spokesperson of TAT, Middle East said. Thailand welcomed more than 85,000 tourists in 2015 from Oman, reflecting a 13 per cent jump from the previous year. Between January and August 2016, 72,920 tourists visited Thailand from Oman. TAT also recommended that any visitors with travel or tourism plans should reconfirm with their agents and check local me-
