MUSCAT: To protect schoolchildren from the summer heat, the Board of Directors of Indian Schools has directed the principals of all 19 Indian schools to restrict outdoor activities to ensure that children are not exposed to excessive sunlight. “This is a note of caution, because temperatures have been
soaring of late and prevailing hot weather conditions cause discomfort to everyone and everywhere. While it is known that schools are taking precautionary measures to prevent children from exposure to sun and dehydration, it is felt there is a need to be very cautious, in view of the heat wave that may engulf certain areas of the Sultanate,” a note from the Indian Board stated. >A6
