Dance India Asia Pacific (DIAP) is a unique showcase featuring some of the finest talents in Indian classical dance. After two successful seasons in 2012 and 2013, DIAP returns to the Esplanade with six exhilarating performances by top artists in the dance industry : World-renowned dance duo The Dhananjayans for bharatanatyam; India's foremost odissi dancer Madhavi Mudgal; the talented Mythili Prakash and charismatic Sheejith Krishna in bharatanatyam, representing the next generation of brilliant young artists. Audiences will get a rare opportunity to enjoy performances by these international prominent Indian classical dancers as they each present the best of their individual works and choreographies over two nights at the Esplanade.
This year’s Showcase performances will for the first time feature an opening performance by selected delegates of DANCE INDIA Asia Pacific 2014 who have been trained by these legends this season in Singapore.
