She has applied this work in dozens of states, with counties, and in the U.S. federal government. In 2019, Dana was named one of the world’s most influential people in digital government by Apolitical. She’s a Fellow at the Belfer Center Technology and Public Purpose program, co-founder and former co-director at the Center for Civic Design, and now policy designer for the United States Digital Service.

George specialises in designing systems used by millions of people holding billions of things but also likes designing very specific interfaces for tiny audiences.
As Vice-President of Machine Learning Experience Design, Ovetta leads and supports the Enterprise Machine Learning and AI Design Team, the Responsible Artificial Intelligence Team and the Machine Learning Governance Design team at Capital One. Supporting Capital One’s mission to change banking for good, she’s responsible for helping to integrate human-centered design, strategies and processes into the machine learning platform and models that power Capital One’s associate and consumer experiences. Prior to joining Capital One, she was a Principal Design Director at Microsoft, leading a transdisciplinary design, engineering and research team in developing cross-industry innovative solutions for Microsoft’s biggest enterprise customers.
An IDEO alumna, Ovetta’s sweet spot is the intersection of humanity, business and technology.
