We need to reverberate

THE THREE DECADES THROUGH WHICH FUNDAÇÃO ESTUDAR HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED GENERATED A SOLID AND RELEVANT ORGANIZATION FOR BRAZIL.

WE SUPPORTED 760 ESTUDAR LEADERS, so their potential was transformed into high impact. Today, many occupy relevant positions, and share the responsibility and giveback notion of taking our values further.

We have supported over a thousand young people in their efforts to study abroad, and today our network represents 25% of Brazilians who study in the 40 best universities in the United States. Through information, guidance, and more inspirational examples, Brazil went up in the rank of countries that send more students abroad.

We inspired 60 million and sparked the leadership potential of 80 thousand young people, who became more confident to dream bigger and change their realities.

Driven by the ambition to maintain and increase our relevance, we created new programs to support talents in technology, advanced the programs’ digital experience, transformed high-end leaders into online course professors and achieved a historic result in the scholarship program selection.

In the last 10 years, we exponentially increased our reach and impact, and diversified our financing sources to build a more sustainable and lasting Fundação Estudar. An organization that only achieved all these results because it has good people, many good people, who believe and are willing to work for a great dream. The legacy Estudar has already left in Brazil is great. Reaching 30 years is rare – less than 5% of Brazilian organizations get there. Our history makes us proud, but it also brings with it more power, which should be used in a positive way, and responsibly to contribute to our surroundings. Leaders who are able to move forward with this history must have:

• strength, as the lasting existence of the organization is a consequence of daily efforts;

• humbleness, to recognize the limits of our impact and that it is still possible to do more and do better;

• consciousness, to remember that it does not matter how successful one is, there are still many people suffering around us;

• responsibility, as Brazil needs many more leaders who are competent, committed and have integrity.

For the next 30 years, we need to keep evolving to become better leaders and, above all, better agents of change, because the future depends on what our generation is building today.

May our transformations generate even more transformations.

ANAMAÍRA SPAGGIARI Fundação Estudar’s Executive Director
