APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING If you feel ready to start work, then an apprenticeship could be the right choice for you. At NETA we work with more than 500 businesses, so we know what employers are looking for in their new recruits. We can help match you with employers who are looking for an apprentice, as part of our application, testing and interview process. Alternatively, you may find a sponsor company who is willing to employ you on an apprenticeship. Once you have found a company, we will set up a detailed training plan which will be in line with both the company’s and the external awarding body’s requirements to ensure you achieve your full apprenticeship standard.
At NETA we support the following Apprenticeships: • Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician; (Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation or Process Operator) • Welding • Pipefitting (Engineering Construction Pipefitter) • Metal Fabricator • Metrology Technician • Engineering Design and Draughting • Engineering Construction Rigger • Scaffolder (Level 2 Intermediate) For full details on each the above apprenticeship standards please go to the following web address and type the apprenticeship keyword (e.g. welder) in the search box: www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/ This will then take you to the individual apprenticeship standard which will give you details on the type of work that is expected, the knowledge, skills and behaviours you will be expected to learn, any pre-qualifications required and what professional recognition that may be available once completed. In order to complete your Standard Apprenticeship, you will have to undertake an ‘End Point Assessment’ that will carried out by a ‘third party’ assessment organisation. This will be arranged by NETA Training in conjunction with your employer.
