CHALLENGING YOUR ‘COMFORT ZONE’ SILENTLY Our ‘comfort zone’ or our private hideaways, getaways, or whatever we’d like to call them, is that one ‘place’ where we can really be ‘ourselves’. But, while you ‘comfortably’ accept your ‘situation’ the way it currently is, ask yourself this one simple pertinent question – How long am I going to continue living the way I do? Couple of months, may be? Couple of years, may be? As long as I’ve got that incoming financial inheritance, what should I be worried about? Nothing really!! So what is it that still ‘tickles’ my thoughts? And why? Am I missing the point somewhere? Am I missing something here?? Well, I’m not here to prove myself to anyone!! Many of these questions and debates have gone around in your mind continuously for quite a while now. But yet, for some ‘excuse’ or the other, nothing seems to motivate or attract your attention to doing what you’d really ‘want to do’. So, now’s the big question / problems / circumstances / solutions / sustainability / so on and so forth, not forgetting what ‘others’ think about you. In asking / thinking to yourself, all that’s chaotized in your head, you simply have to start with defining in calm and fine-tuned detailed manner, in your mind, what your priorities are. There’s no need to put it down in writing – plans change, you know!! Your aspiration to do what you deeply desire shouldn’t change. To put it simply, keep your mind ‘focused’ on your ‘goal’ for as long as you can. Give your ‘goal’ a ‘silent’ opportunity to improve through continuous knowledge, while you’re ‘still living’ in your ‘comfort zone’. Continuously improvise and streamline your thoughts through conversations with colleagues, friends, the internet, with people who give you constructive feedback on just your ‘thoughts’ till you feel that in-depth inner self confidence, that gives you the ‘clarity’ you desire toward your goal. Don’t give your ‘goals’ a ‘timeline’. Time duration on thoughts like these don’t really matter; situations and circumstances improve with time and age. Your challenges can simply begin with gently, consciously, and conscientiously ‘helping people’ with their ‘insignificant’ issues. Gradual improvement in this respect, guides you to build your in-depth confidence, simply saying to yourself – “well, I managed that one with ease. So, what’s next??” Nothing comes overnight, but as practice makes perfect, you boost your confidence, silently through deep observation and quietude. The ‘silent’ confidence you build up for yourself over a considerable period of time, is what gives you ‘your access’ to ‘stretch out’ of your comfort zone. In doing so, you begin to understand in a calm way, all those ‘chaotic’ thoughts of your ‘comfort zone’ you once lived in – what really mattered to you and what didn’t. The most important issue to you and ‘just for you’ should be, to be evidently confident with your ‘goal’ and / or priorities. Those initial steps of subtly comprehending the ‘abstract fear’ of your comfort zone are eventually put to rest. Remember, nothing lasts forever; Nope!! Not even us!!
