Restrictive Cryptic Hygge – A Very Pandemic Hygge
For the last three years and counting, the whole world had been brought down to their knees, because of the ongoing pandemic. People passed on because of it. Some still feel, till date, the repercussions of its variants. Nobody knows what lies ahead, yet most people continue to live, by doing their best to survive. In a way, this past lockdown, and its normalcy in phases, has brought about a significant change in the mindsets of those who enjoy changes to regular routines.
It has encouraged a ‘new way of thinking’ positively in a negative situation. Whether it’s your job, your family life, or your business or whatever you do for a living, this pandemic has quite a bit of positivity interlaced into it. And by that same token, there’s also a lot of negativity woven into it as well.
With restrictions thrust upon everybody left, right, and center, personal skills have enhanced, family get-togethers have gone beyond just thanksgiving. There’s more head space for concentration on jobs to be accomplished. In a funny kind of way, this pandemic has been a ‘jolt’ for many people all over the world. People have also realised the value of quality of life over materialistic wealth. And by that same token, reality bites. So how has this ongoing pandemic helped us till date?? And what will be the repercussions in years to come??
There will and can never be a clear response or an answer to this question, simply because everybody has viewed their situations differently. So where’s the hygge in all of this??
Nothing hygge about it per se. But if you know how to make hygge personal to you, and you allow it to make sense to you, value hygge, you get to know and do things you had practically no time for in the past. Nothing lasts forever, not even these surging pandemic strains.
The only thing you need and have to understand is that ‘anything and everything’ starts and ends with YOU. It’s your mindset. Think about how it has affected you personally. How did it feel being trapped in fear of, or actually getting affected by the virus?? For these last three years and counting, how has it affected your working schedule?? Your family life?? Has this overwhelming experience been a blessing or a bane?? Or both?? Has it helped you improve the quality of your life?? Or has it had a reverse effect on you?? Questions like these should be, could be, and will be answered only by you. Nothing makes it more hygge when you ponder upon these
thoughts in silence with your favourite beverage. Cheers and Happy Hygge all the way!!!
