Run in your own lane

Run in your own lane In spite of continuous seething competition in your face, how do you do it?? How do you stick to your goals and not jump ship or on to the greener side of the fence?? Everyone seems to be doing better than l am. I feel lost, left out, poked at, horrible really!! But yet, in all these thoughts rambling through your head, there is a ‘certain difference’ you know you can make. That difference dear people, is what is called your ‘niche’. It’s what makes you stand out from the rest of your competitors. This ‘niche’ what is very often talked about, is your ‘skill’ that sets you apart from your competitors. It is what defines you. What you stand for, what you’re skilled at, and how you present your brand to your clientele. Again!! How do you run in your own lane with your competitors actually ‘in your face’?? IN SILENCE!!! Silence and intricate observation must be the name of your game. Taking total control of your ‘niche’ is something you can’t afford to expose till you’re completely ready to present your product and / or services to your clientele. Honestly, it is NOT difficult to run in your own lane. It is however, challenging to accept the feeling that there are so many people out there who you think are better than you. It drives you up the walls to know that sometimes, no matter what you do, nothing seems like its falling in place for you. But know this – no matter what or how you feel, or when you feel that pressure, stop and take a deep breath in complete silence. Nothing more, nothing less!! Stop in your tracks and calmly get out of your way!! Just get out of wherever you are and go elsewhere. The most practical thing to do is to look upward very deeply, into the sky, or stare into a burning candle, or anything that will distract you long enough to clear your mind of the clutter, before bringing you back to your goal. Then in the silence of your mind, you begin to analyse your competitive situation, calmly enough to help you eliminate your ‘so-called’ competition. Here is where your ideas as to how to carve out that ‘niche’ that will help your stand out and away from your competitors, flow out. Patience and understanding of how you eliminate your competitors plays a considerable and important role while carving out your niche. There can be no unforeseen complications that can arise if situations are dealt with calmly and silently as and when they ‘seem’ to arise. Ultimately, with thorough knowledge, each so-

called ‘hitch’ as you see it, has a solution to the issue, and whatever comes up, can always be dealt with, perceptively. Thus, deep and undivided attention to detail and concentration on ‘your’ method of dealing with your situations is what keeps you ahead of the game, and yes, it keeps you running in your own lane.
