HALLOWEEN EUMUNDI STYLE

Over 200 people attended a Halloween party on 26 October at the Eumundi Community Garden. There was fun for all the family with a jumping castle, treasure hunt, face painting and costume and art competitions to decorate the spooky gardens. The free event was run by the not-for-profit organisation the JourneyMen with the support of Eumundi District Community Association (EDCA), the Rotary Club of Eumundi, Eumundi Community Gardens and the Thai Community of Sunshine Coast Assn.

Will McIntyre, the founder and inspiration behind the JourneyMen was encouraged by the large turnout. “The day was amazing! It was so good to see people of all ages mixing and having fun,” said Will.

“This is what the JourneyMen are all about –connecting and building community while collaborating with other organisations to achieve the same goal. We believe mental health is just a by-product of our community and together we can work to improve this.”
