Conflict Management & Physical Intervention

MINIMISING & MANAGING VIOLENCE & AGGRESSION

Specialists in the management of violence and aggression (MVA) in education

Whilst there is some great practice across education, health and social care, there are still too many services that focus on management of behaviour or risk rather than on prevention and better meeting needs. A positive and proactive approach is vital to anticipate potential triggers for behaviour that challenges, and minimise the likelihood of, or avoid the need to use, restraint.

We provide individuals with the understanding and skills to build positive relationships and defuse, prevent, reflect and learn from conflict.

MMVA - (Minimising & Managing Violence & Aggression) offers training in:

• Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)

• Conflict Management / Resolution

• Physical Intervention Training

• Understanding Body Mechanics

Find out about the services we offer and how our training creates a safer environment for your service users, your staff and your organisation.

Our Physical intervention and restraint techniques are taught within the guidelines of the following organisations:

Just finished my three day course with Andy and Zoe and having never done conflict management and physical intervention training but having knowledge on both subjects through a family member that does the same job as me I found it really interesting, informative and effective. It was never boring or draining, they could both have a laugh whilst maintaining their professionalism and they definitely worked us beyond our comfortability. Couldn’t have asked for two better instructors! Thank you!
