Day 1 Salta. D Transfer Arrival and reception at Salta’s airport and then, transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, the city of Salta awaits us to explore it by a walk through its streets, churches and colonial buildings, in addition to a visit to the MAAM (High Mountain Archaeology Museum). In the evening, dinner at Jose Balcarce Restaurant, dedicated to Andean cuisine. Max. altitude: 1.152 MASL (3.779 ft.)

Day 2 Salta / Purmamarca. B We leave Salta and go towards Humahuaca Gorge. Our final destination is Purmamarca. On the way there, we visit a winery of the area to taste wines that have special characteristics. After a break in Purmamarca, we go to Salinas Grandes Salt Flat in order to enjoy the sunset and a good glass of wine.

Day 3 Purmamarca / Salta. B L In the morning, we depart towards Uquía to visit a quite special winery that has the highest wine cellar in the world, which is located at 3.640 MASL. Once there, the host welcomes us and on board 4x4 we ascend to Moya’s Vineyard at 3.329 MASL. From there, we visit an abandoned mining cave that presents the ideal natural conditions to the store and maturation of high altitude wines. Finally, we continue visiting the Humahuaca Gorge. Return to Salta.

Day 4 Salta / Cachi / Colomé. B D Departure for a tour around Calchaquíes Valleys. After reaching the Route 40, we take a detour towards Colomé, where one of the oldest wineries of Argentina is located 2.300 to 3.111 MASL (7.545 to 10.207 ft.).

Day 6 Cafayate. B L The day begins with a brief tour in the Museum of Vine and Wine, and then we head to Piatelli Winery, where we make a bike tour through the vineyards. After that, we enjoy picnic in the garden. Afternoon at leisure. Maximum altitude: 1.660 MASL (5.446 ft.)

Day 7 Cafayate / Salta. B L Before returning to Salta, we visit a winery of the area where we enjoy lunch. Then, we explore Cafayate Gorge. Transfer to the airport.

Day 5 Colomé / Cafayate. B L During our stay, we enjoy a guided tour at the winery and James Turrel Museum, one of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists, who is mainly concerned with light and space. After enjoying a wine tasting and a lunch, we continue towards Cafayate, passing through De Las Flechas Gorge.

To keep in mind: • From January to March, the itinerary could be modified due to the rainy season.

Operational notes: Day 1: The Town Hall and MAAM close on Mondays. San Miguel Market closes on Sundays. Day 6: The Vine and Wine Museum closes on Mondays. Day 7: It requires a departure flight after 8 PM.
