PAROS GEOGRAPHY It is one of the most preferable islands for vacations for Greek people . Naoussa is one of the main cities of Paros. The island's ground is rocky and consists of granite,. limestone rocks and marble.
PAROS HISTORY The ancient quarries of Paros are located in Marathi. These quarries are known for the excellent white marble that was mined there and was a source of wealth for the island. This marble was used for famous sculptures such as Aphrodite of Milos, Hermes of Praxiteles and Niki of Samothrakis .
PAROS CLIMATE The climate of the island is mild, as in most of the Cycladic islands. It is temperate, dry, with mild winters and few rains .
PAROS FLORA The flora of Paros includes trees like cypresses, pines, carob trees, aracharias , grapes, figs, olives, etc,.
