Seminar in Athens 2016 Here I am talking about this first seminar that I went to with this organisation. At first I didnt know what to expect.. I didnt know anything such as simple activites.. When I got back from the seminar all I can say is that i had an awesome time there, met amazing people from 9 different countries and everything was simply pure beauty if i can call it like that. Okay, let me start from the beginning! Just when we arrived, we saw the amazing hotel, i felt like i was somewhere magical. The accomodation couldnt be better. Then first we met with the greek people, the hosts. They were lovely, I got to say. We talked and drank some beer and the place where the hotel was located was cool. It is called Glyfada and it is known as a place for the rich people, you get me right. Okay, I better start explaining things faster cos either way this essay would be too long. The topic of this seminar was “Internet Addiction. This topic is well-known by everyone, Im sure and they were a lot of useful presentations that helped us realise that its not all about the virtual world.

3

Ask for me, the most useful thing was the presentation made by the psychologist. It was really helpful and i am sure he helped everyone a bit in some way. Thats one of the advantages of the seminar even tho there's many more. For everyone to get this, every country was supposed to have a mini slideshow about the internet addiction in that country and we all presented those presentations. The main thing was for everyone to get to know your country and you which is a good thing. We are all part of this whole universe and its good to know each other.

4

To get to know each other, we had cultural nights every night where we got to try traditonal foods from that country, listen to their kind of music and thats one of the ways to get rich in the cultural field. Dancing, singing, talking , those are the things that a teenager can make happy. And all three of these things were included in this seminar and thats why im sure everyone had an AWESOME time. The beach was so close to the hotel and every day we went there to spend some great time by the sea listening to waves, relaxing and beside all the other things, the beach is THAT THING that i miss the most, of course the people that were there too.

Despite the work we had with the presentations, we always got free time to look around Athens, see the centre of it. Its all so amazing, went to see the known Acropolis, Parthenon and the famous square

So many pictures are taken of this great seminar.. And if there is a chance for me to go to another seminar like this, I would take that chance anywhere. How good would it be for all of us to have a reunion? That would be such a nice thing and Im sure everyone would love that cos i didnt see anyone to complain about anything during our stay there. Wonder why nobody complained, cos it was simply PERFECT. As my first seminar with this organisation, I got to say Im really glad i went and I dont regret going cos I had a great time and all the memories there would always find place in my heart. Review about seminar with this organisation is... no words can describe how good i spent that week so Id give 10 out of 10 for this seminar.

Impressions from the youth exchange in Ada,Serbia I was part of an exchange in Serbia with the topic “Do something for yourself and society''. It was indeed a great honor to be part of this project. New long-term experience, new knowledge, new friends, new culture, new language. So who could desire more? The project was excellent, with good organization. One of my favorite activities was paintball. It was fun. We had 6-7 rounds. We played in teams.

7

. Run a lot and shoot a lot of people and also got shot. It was risky, but still fun. We also had another activity that led me to think critically and to find a solution and that was the treasure hunting game. I was also really impressed with intercultural evenings. On every intercultural night I learned something new about other countries that were part of this project and they were Serbia, Croatia, Greece and Hungary. 8

So they had quizzes, traditional food and drinks, dances, songs. Macedonian evening was special because there was live music. So another activity that was quite interesting is when we were strolling through the city. One morning we had a limit of money and a list to buy things for breakfast. We went to a local market where we bought all that was on the list and then in the office of the IFIX organization had breakfast together. The other activity in the same day was that we have to find one specific store and find out what is the cheapest in the store.

9

We had to do some photos with the local people around the city before the church and other famous places in the city. I really liked the visit to Senta. We had plenty of time to walk around and take photos. At the end of the evening we were in the disco, where we had a lot of fun. I am happy to have been able to hang out with people who are not from my country with whom I could share experiences and knowledge .Macedonian team was composed perfectly and we worked great together and with the others also. It is wonderful when you have the opportunity to be educated, to learn more about another countries, different languages, traditions, cultures, and make a circle of friendships. All this is building an experience in life which will remain forever.

-Christmas Traditions in England It is cold, wet, and foggy in England at Christmastime. The day before Christmas is very busy for families in England. They wrap presents, bake cookies, and hang stockings over the fireplace. Then everyone gathers around the tree as someone tells a classic holiday story, "A Christmas Carol." -Christmas Tradtions in Holland Dutch children in Holland, or the Netherlands, eagerly await the arrival of Sinterklaas on St. Nicholas Day on December 6. Sinterklaas is a kindly bishop. He wears red robes and a tall, pointed mitre on his head. Sinterklaas travels by ship from Spain to Amsterdam's harbor every winter. He brings his white horse and a huge sack full of gifts for the children. Families celebrate St. Nicholas Eve at home with lots of good food, hot chocolate, and a letterbanket, a "letter cake" made in the shape of the first letter of the family's last name. -Christmas Traditions in Spain The Christmas season begins in Spain on December 8, with a weeklong observance of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Evergreens decorate the churches and outdoor markets throughout the Christmas season.

-Christmas Traditions in Sweden In Sweden, the Christmas festivities begin on December 13 with St. Lucia's Day, which celebrates the patron saint of light. The eldest daughter gets up before dawn and dresses as the "Queen of Light" in a long white dress. She wears a crown of leaves. Singing "Santa Lucia," the Lucia Queen goes to every bedroom to serve coffee and treats to each member of the family. The younger children in the family help, too. The whole family helps to select the Christmas tree just a day or two before Christmas.

Christmas Traditions in Italy The Christmas season in Italy begins on the first Sunday of Advent, which is four Sundays before Christmas. Christmas fairs feature fireworks and bonfires along with holiday music. Families go to the Christmas markets to shop for gifts and new figures for the manger scene. Some families set up a Christmas tree and decorate it. Families set up their presepio, or manger scene, on the first day of the novena. They gather before the presepio each morning or evening of novena to light candles and pray.

Impressions from the Youth exchange in Ada, Serbia The stay in Ada for me especially was unforgettable. From my experience I have been with other programs but this one I loved the most. The daily planning I liked it because it was all around with each of the activities. I have learned a lot about other countries through this program and remarkably made a lot of friends and bettered my communication skills. Loved the paintball and the tour through Senta, also the work we did in group activities and I think that’s when you most communicated with others and used all your knowledge. Personally I can't wait for Hungary to go with this organization because everything was even better then what I expected from Ada.
