Deborah Chai Garris, a former international model of Afro-Korean descent, known as "Chai," recently joined our team as an "Ambassador for Excellence Magazine." Her brilliant career as a runway and photo model began in New York (her native home) in 1974 and ended in the mid-1980s. In Milan, Rome, London and Paris, Chai walked the runway for over 70 fashion houses including: Gucci, Valentino, and Yves Saint Laurent. She has been recognized as one of the first multi-ethnic models, and "The Korea Times" recognized her as the first international model of Korean descent. After finishing her career in fashion and moving to Switzerland, Chai decided to devote herself full-time to her family of three children, also engaging in philanthropic activities and cultivating important relationships with the world of luxury, high society and art. Chai has always shown a strong propensity for human relations and over the years has worked to achieve important humanitarian and social projects. We are sure that these qualities will give life to an important collaboration with Excellence Magazine. La sua brillante carriera di indossatrice e fotomodella ha avuto inizio sulle passerelle di New York (sua città natale) nel 1974 ed è terminata a metà degli anni '80. Chai ha sempre dimostrato una forte propensione per le relazioni umane e negli anni si è prodigata per realizzare importanti progetti umanitari e sociali. Passionate about art, beauty and image, Edward A. Haschke has a great sensibility and talent for visual arts. Born and raised in Switzerland, and having moved to Los Angeles in 2009, Edward is now an internationally recognized visual artist. He began darkroom photography at the age of 14, and his passion for visual entertainment led him to pursue an intense journey alongside great professionals in the world of photography and film production. From camera assistant to cinematographer Joe Labisi, to assistant director of music videos for pop artists such as Usher, Bruno Mars, and Ne-Yo, with directors Nabil Elderkin, Wayne Isham and Gil Green, Edward has excelled in the high budget film production arena. He has worked with Jerry Bruckheimer, Disney, and director Jon Turteltaub, achieving a very high level of knowledge and expertise. Further experiences alongside photographers such as Friedrich Auerbach, James Appassionata di arte, bellezza e immagine, Edward A. White and Greg Gorman helped to enrich his technical vocabulary and develop in him an artistic sensibility. Chai and Edward share a passion for human relationships, humanitarian projects and images that speak of life, places and people. Traveling, fashion, nature, portraits, the charm of the night, are motifs that Edward, a very talented photographer, captures through his deep sensitivity. The artist says: "Light is the magic that connects us all, without distinction. Its particles become visible to the naked eye once they bounce off an individual or any other form of matter. I find this fascinating because this means that when we photograph ourselves, or anything else, we are capturing unique codes, made of light, that allow us to "freeze" and store information. Light is a bridge that can transport people and things to places beyond space, time, and reality itself. For me, science is important because it explains how this can happen, it explains the magic of the moment that leads to capturing the image. But delving into it on a deeper level, I think there is something metaphysical about the whole experience of photography that, when shared, can allow us to transcend distance, diversity, and separation, frame by frame." erbach, James White e Greg Gorman hanno contribuito ad arricchire il suo vocabolario tecnico e a sviluppare in lui una sensibilità artistica. Lo trovo affascinante perché questo significa che quando fotografiamo noi stessi, o qualsiasi altra cosa, stiamo catturando dei codici unici, fatti di luce, che ci permettono di "congelare" e immagazzinare informazioni. La luce è un ponte che può trasportare le persone e le cose in luoghi al di là dello spazio, del tempo e della realtà stessa. Per me la scienza è importante perché spiega come possa avvenire tutto questo, spiega la magia del momento che porta alla cattura dell’immagine. Ma scendendo ad un livello più profondo, penso che ci sia qualcosa di metafisico nell’intera esperienza della fotografia che, quando condivisa, può permetterci di trascendere la distanza, la diversità, la separazione, fotogramma dopo fotogramma.”

As the world population increases, so does the demand for food, and the last five decades have seen a 300% increase in pollinator-dependent crops. This has led to deforestation, destruction of flowering habitats, intensified farming and toxic pesticides, with devastating impact on pollinators, biodiversity, and climate. Over 75% of the nutritious food we eat depends on pollination. Pollination sustains global food security, crop production, farmer livelihoods, wild plant diversity, ecosystem balance, healthy soils, and clean air, but pollinator populations are declining. The frightening fact is that when pollinator populations decline, biodiversity (the biological diversity of life on Earth) also declines and Con l'aumento della popolazione mondiale, aumenta anche la domanda di cibo; inoltre, negli ultimi cinquant'anni si è assistito a un aumento del 300% delle colture dipendenti dagli impollinatori.
