JOB DESCRIPTION PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •
Plan and implement a programme of successful and innovative development and fundraising activities.

Maintain a deep understanding of developments, patterns, legal requirements, and best practice in respect of educational and charitable fundraising, and ensure that the University is kept updated, complying with all relevant legislation.

Provide the strategic oversight of the production and distribution of promotional and fundraising material. This will involve the use of web-based and social media platforms.

Take responsibility for the leadership, management and development of the Development Office, creating a culture of excellence and supportive working.

Management of the departmental budget.

Review and oversee the effective use of the donor’s database and ensure its compliance with data protection legislation.

Hours of Work
The normal hours of work will be 35 hours per week with the working pattern of 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with an hour unpaid lunch each working day. These hours may vary in accordance with the requirements of the role and the post holder will be expected to work flexibly in order to fulfil the requirements of the post.
Annual Leave
30 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and additional discretionary closure days over the Christmas period.
