BACKGROUND TO THE APPOINTMENT Founded in 1990, Execucare was the first executive search company to specialise in the recruitment of fundraisers in the not-forprofit sector. We work with leading charities, universities, schools, and arts and cultural organisations to find the best fundraising and senior management professionals across the sector.

We are looking for a new Recruitment Consultant to join us as we look to build on recent successes and grow capacity in our UK team. Cultural fit and chemistry with the team is essential and has always been at the root of our success. DUTIES RECRUITMENT

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Understand client requirements.

• Identify new business opportunities in the not-for-profit sector as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

• Development of appropriate target lists for searches. • Researching and prospecting candidates for searches. • Employ recruiting methods to attract candidates (e.g. job advertising) and source candidates using databases, social media etc. • Evaluate resumes and applications. • In-depth interviewing and initial screening interviews of prospective candidates. • Report writing where appropriate. • Facilitate and finalise agreements between candidate and employer. • Provide honest and objective advice on recruitment and related issues to Execucare’s clients. • Provide honest and objective advice on career development and related issues to Execucare’s candidates. • Provide advice, guidance and information to other relevant people or organisations.

PERSON SPECIFICATION • Outstanding spoken and written English • Empathetic, analytical and professional

• Cultivate relationships with key influencers in the UK not-forprofit sector.

• Able to make a meaningful contribution to business planning

• Examination of new business areas or new and developing sectors to develop initiatives to expand the business.

• Able to inspire confidence in others, adapt to, and learn from, different tasks and a fluctuating workload, co-ordinate and organise effectively, keep to deadlines and prioritise duties

• Represent Execucare at major events. • Lead on the account handling of current and new clients. • Research, identify and secure new long term strategic partnerships with Management and Fundraising Consultants in the sector. • Develop relationships with other key external contacts, such as not-for-profit membership organisations. • Take a lead in personally soliciting and securing new business, proactively cultivating a portfolio of your own high value prospect clients. • Utilise existing relationships to exploit ‘warm’ commercial opportunities. • Develop persuasive and innovative proposals and pitches to maximise or secure income from a variety of sources.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Desire to make a positive contribution to the development of the not-for-profit sector • Motivated to achieve the highest possible professional standards and work as part of a team • Educated to degree level • At least five years’ experience in either fundraising or recruitment in the not-for profit sector. • Knowledge of fundraising or not-for-profit marketing techniques and legislation • Experience of use of databases and research techniques • Highly developed communication and presentation skills

• Take a flexible approach to work and responsibilities and to approach any task as a member of a team.

PERSONAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

• Ability to interact comfortably with people at all levels

• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the Directors.

• Remain informed of the latest recruitment techniques and practices.

• An understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities

• Adhere to a code of conduct and confidentiality agreement and ensure that all activities comply with the GDPR and all other relevant statutes.

• Attend and network at relevant conferences, seminars and events as practicable.
