JOB DESCRIPTION PURPOSE •
Achieve a target of £350,000 in 2019 (£180k stewarding and £170k new business) and achieve or succeed agreed major donor budgets each year
•
In addition, help secure corporate or individual sponsorship for events of £18,000 per annum (budget agreed annually)
•
Lead all high value and major donor activity (defined as over £1,000 pa) from individual donors and their family charitable trusts
•
Steward all existing major donors, providing high quality account management so they continue to support Classics for All in the future
•
Carry out all business development activity including donor research, identification, cultivation and solicitation
•
Collaborate with senior volunteer committee members to assist with donor identification and cultivation activity, including private events

JOB DESCRIPTION ACCOUNTABILITIES Stewardship
Cultivation
•
Manage and administer the day to day relationship of all major donors
•
Ensure all donations are paid as pledged
•
Create a renewal strategy for each donor towards the end of their funding term
•
Write regular reports to donors on the impact of their gift
•
Ensure existing donors are engaged as far as possible in the events programme
•
Oversee the development committee (and future Finance Sector Group), working with them to open up their networks to attract further support
•
Regularly research prospective donors and design individual cultivation strategies
•
Make the ask using the existing donation framework (between £1,000-£100,000+)
•
Develop a legacy programme and work towards raising an endowment fund by 2025

Utilise the event programme and key Classics for All Directors, Trustees and supporters to establish relationships with prospects

Help design and deliver private events, managing guest lists and writing collateral

Work with the Executive Director to ensure the right major donors are invited to the public events

PERSON SPECIFICATION MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Knowledge

TERMS & CONDITIONS Location
Office will be moving from Covent Garden to King’s College Strand Campus, London, in early 2019. Some travel within the UK may occasionally be required. Job location is at Classics for All’s office, but ad hoc home working may be arranged.
