RELAIS VILLA D’AMELIA, PIEDMONT, ITALY Relaxed sophistication, Michelin star food in stunning surroundings

Officially a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this is a luxuriously restored 19th-century family villa just outside Benevello in Italy’s stunning Piedmont region. The hotel sits on the ridge of a hill between woodland and hazelnut groves offering breathtaking views of the Alps. The bar and lounge area, with an oak-beamed ceiling, oriental carpets, grand piano and leather sofas – is a perfect place for relaxing, reading or sipping a glass of delicious local wine.See page 33

Perched on a rocky outcrop between the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava’s cliffs and coves, Castell d’Emporda is a superbly restored 700-year old castle. Owners Albert and Margo are both very friendly and speak excellent English. Each of the hotel’s comfortable and stylish rooms has been individually decorated with furniture collected by the owners on their travels around China, India and Morocco.See page 41

BY AIR We offer both tour only and flight inclusive prices for freedom of choice and flexibility. We provide flights from London as standard or alternatively direct flights from many regional airports. We can also offer a number of low-cost carriers on selected holidays. Non -standard transfer fees may apply.

DURING YOUR STAY

MEAL UPGRADES

In locations where restaurants are plentiful, evening meals may not be provided, giving you freedom of choice. In some hotels you may pre-book extra meals, please ask at time of booking.

BY RAIL

With Eurostar connections and onward high speed trains throughout Europe, the train is a perfect way to travel, and we can make these arrangements for you. ROOM ARRANGEMENTS Many of our holidays offer you the opportunity to enhance your experience by upgrading your room to a more luxurious alternative. If you would like to discuss special room requirements, single occupancy or options for groups of more than two, please contact us and we’ll be happy to advise. SELF DRIVE Driving to your destination offers great flexibility. We can help by booking your channel crossing, with competitive rates from P&O, Brittany Ferries and Eurotunnel on a range of routes. A selection of holidays may also include car hire as standard when booking an

air inclusive package. CITY BREAKS

Why not combine your walking holiday with a few days of city sightseeing? We’ll be happy to book hotels in regional capitals such as Barcelona, just talk to one of the Headwater sales team. TRANSFERS

All flight inclusive holidays include standard transfers. Tour only bookings don’t automatically include them but please ask if you’d like us to arrange any transfers for you.
