ALFONSO F. OTERO
Alfonso F. Otero is Ph.D. in mining & metallurgical processes and spent 4 years as a post-doctoral associate researcher at the Centre for Metallurgical Process Engineering, University of British Columbia, Canada, and 4 months as a PUC visiting Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, School of Chemical, Environmental and Mining Engineering, University of Nottingham, England. Currently he is part-time professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has been projects engineering Manager at Codelco, Teniente Division, process engineering Manager at the Mining & Metallurgical Research Center, Director of mining engineering carrier and Director of innovation mining center at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Between 2000 and 2010, he was Adjunct Professor at PUC working in areas like academy, research and extension. During his professional live till up to date he has been author and co-authored in more than: 40 ISI research publications, 100 engineering projects reports, 60 Engineering M.Sc., D.Sc. thesis advisorship, 10 Industrial Patent Inventions and Software Intellectual Register. Starting 2005 he was a self-motivated individual researcher initiated to find out information concerning mining topics related to energetic efficiency; water supply & consumption; atmospheric environmental pollutions, mine closure & on site forestation.
JUAN VILLARZÚ Juan Villarzu graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chile and a master's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago in the United States.
