JOHN JANSEN John Jansen is an Earth scientist currently based at Stockholm University and the University of Wollongong, with more than a decade of post-doctoral research experience at six universities in Australia, the UK, and Sweden. His research mainly deals with how tectonics and climate influence the evolution of landscapes over time-scales from thousands to millions of years. A key aspect of this work involves quantifying rates of erosion with cosmogenic nuclides and optically-stimulated luminescence, and he has published more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific articles on the dynamics of bedrock and anabranching rivers, extreme-flood hydrology, and the palaeohydrology of lakes.
