At a special super session on Sunday morning, we also heard from Olympic hero Steven Bradbury as he shared the uplifting and motivational story about his incredible journey to Olympic Gold. The new turnkey stand packages proved popular with easy set up and gave the show a fresh, brighter look.

The Jewellery Industry Awards were staged after the fair closed on Saturday night. There was much anticipation from the audience as the finalists and winners were announced, recognising the people in the industry across a number of categories that featured leading products, merchandising, marketing, innovation and service. Kirsty Dagnall Marketing The change to Saturday and Sunday delivered a more balanced split of visitors between the two days with the Gold Coast contributing 26% of visitors, Brisbane 20% and other parts of Queensland 23%. The other 31% were from all states right around Australia and New Zealand.

2014 Visitor Attractions Nancy Georges – The Retail Miss Fix-it brings her expertise to the Fair!
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER at a Jewellery Fair, Nancy Georges was at the Gold Coast to present the latest tips and tricks for the retail industry. She was also on hand for EXCLUSIVE Q & A sessions to give visitors the latest insight into successful retailing!
Steven Brad bury’s Motivation Morning
On the Sunday morning of the fair, special guest, Steven Bradbury was at The JAA Australian Jewellery Fair on the Gold Coast to share his story. An Australian sporting hero with a remarkable history, Steve’s motivational session offered attendees business solutions, motivation and a new way of thinking.
The Jewellers’ Bench
For the first time in Queensland, The Jewellers’ Bench was at the Gold Coast, where visitors got to see jewellers at work, live! Hosted by YJG ‘masters’, this feature offered live demonstrations of a range of techniques that focused on CAD drawing, manufacturing, setting and engraving.
Spotlight Learning Exchange
A series of workshops and seminars were held throughout the event that educated and inspired attendees. Topics included: social media, jewellery trends and selling tips.
JAA Accreditation Sessions
Also new to the fair, JAA members had the opportunity to gain two accreditation points by simply attending the fair. Members also had the chance to receive five points by attending the JAA Consumer Law spotlight session.
Buying Group Lounges
Located on the exhibition floor, lounges provided seating and refreshments for some of the leading buying groups and their members, away from the hustle and bustle of the exhibition floor.
