2014 EVENT OVERVIEW

THE 3PL TEAM

Between March 26 - 27, the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre held the 3PL, E-Warehouse Management & Solutions Show. Co-located with the ecommerce Conference & Expo, the two shows demonstrated: ‘How we will connect, buy and supply in the future’.

These events provided a platform for suppliers to put their products and services in front of an engaged audience of business owners and supply chain professionals, who had come to find solutions and maintain their edge in an increasingly competitive business landscape.

The co-location with the ecommerce Conference and Expo (www. ecomexpomelbourne.com.au), provided business with a one-stop view into the future of online sales (the ecommerce show) and the modern supply chain (3PL Show). They proved to be ideal companion events, each with an independent but complementary marketing campaign designed to reach a broad cross-section of relevant businesses.

The event had the support of all three major supply chain, logistics and transportation associations in Australia: The Logistics Association of Australia (LAA), the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTA).

Exhibitors represented a broad cross-section of warehousing, logistics, 3PL and associated service sectors. A telemarketing campaign was conducted in the final weeks prior to the show, issuing a personal invitation to attend the show and facilitate the provision of further information.

THE DAILY NEWS Each day of the show we emailed all potential visitors the Fair News – full of info direct from the event. By making a personal daily connection with visitors, they saw the action ‘live’ from the show, and got excited about visiting.
