SPECIAL GUEST
Beck Beattie – from the Spellbinders Design Team
B
eck Beattie or ‘BeckBT’ as she likes to be known, is a talented papercraft designer from Victoria, who has worked with many different products throughout her scrapbooking years. She has built on her Scrapbooking Memories Master title and gone on to win a spot on the Spellbinders Design Team through a worldwide, threeround process. Beck says, “I am SO excited to be the Guest Artist this year at Australia’s largest Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo in Brisbane! It is going to be one amazing event this year!” Here, Beck shares three of her secrets to scrapbooking success – and these tips may resonate with you too... 1. Try to add journaling to most of your scrapbook pages. A story can go on the back on a printed piece of paper if you can’t work it into your design. 2. If you don’t like dimension in a page and you are attending a class which has it, just take it out. Similarly if you like it and the page is flat, add it in between the layers. 3. Girl pages can always be made more masculine simply by removing a few flowers, and adding other embellishments such as cogs. Book into one of Beck’s classes – she will share loads of her wonderful techniques and design tips with you. They run each day of the expo for approximately two hours, see all the details on page 7.
Beck’s classes will be a popular choice at the expo. ”The kits are jam packed and we will be having lots of fun!” June 6 – 8, 2015
